CC has been twice the Center. If it were Dwight tangling with Donovan, all we'd see is a goofy **** eating grin and 5 missed free throws. We dumped McHale for a full time Dream. Loved that Dream was on his feet every time they panned to him on a big Capela play. The money I'd pay to see a 10 second delay with the camera on Dream. He's really enjoying this.
Heh. We're just fans, what the hell do we really know, but sometimes talent just stands out. People do like to pretend to be scouts. Yet they're not, they're just here on the bbs with the rest of us. Other times it's always funny when people just latch onto certain players and will never let go, like Spanoulis, Lin, Langhi, Walt Williams, whoever...
I doubt even Morey thought Clint would progress to this level? and who knows how he will play at his peak, it's almost scary to think. Ceiling is through the roof.

Without Paul our ceiling is a second round exit and without Harden we wouldn't make it out the first round (if we make the playoffs). Mans said Eric Gordon can replace Paul/Harden's production LOL. That said, Capela is a monster and the MVP of this series.
He's been stepping up to the challenge of not only his talented opposing center, but stepping it up vs the other four players. Big impact
This is correct. Warriors have been increasingly going small ball. They do that because that gives them their best line up. However, Clint Capela is probably the best suited player in the NBA to derail that for the Warriors. He could do a sufficient enough job guarding any of their guys, and would just absolutely eat up everything in the paint on both ends of the floor. I'm not even sure if the Warriors could get a defensive rebound without having to put in one of their stiffs (Pachulia, McGee,etc. ). Force them to put in one of their stiffs, and its play into the Rockets' hands.
He was our best player against san antonio last year in the playoffs. better than harden. This year, they are about equal. equally as valuable. We would have no chance without either of them. Paul is replaceable. Gordon is replaceable. but not clint. you can always find guards who can shoot the three and play pick and roll. I am glad that clint is finally getting his respect around this board and in the NBA. I already thought he was one of the best centers in the NBA last year. and after this year, where would you rank him? i hope he stays with houston until he retires and becomes a houston legend. if he develops a post game, he might be the MVP of the league one day?
Capela has elevated his play in the playoffs, which is great because it means he has an extra gear. One of the biggest surprises this year along with Victor Oladipo.
this is an intriguing post... not sure if 100% true... i like paul more than any other guard we may get because of his overall game, intangibles, love and confidence he gives to harden
there isn't another pg in the league that would fit next to harden and bring everything to what cp3 does and how he fits.
with all that paul does on the offensive end, he also gives up on defense. You can find other guards who are great at D, and not as good on offense, and we'd still be good. he's not elite anymore. If we didn't have capela, tucker, ariza, and moute making up for all of pauls defenses lapses, they wouldn't look that good. One thing is for sure, we would have no chance of beating these good teams without a center like capela. how many centers can do what he does?
