I was one who was tired of Capela fading and being easy to remove from playoff series due to his limited game. But I've come to appreciate more his transition speed and vertical threat. We doubled down on the Westbrook mistake by trading him of course, but with a non spacing PG you can't afford a rim-only C. I dont think he would do well here Wall running the point. Wish him success, really cool dude.

Lmao how is this poster always full of bad takes?

Covington is clearly as good or better than Capela. And they weren’t even really traded for each other; it was just another Tilman salary dump to skate under the luxury tax but disguised as an upgrade (The Shumpert Special).

If Dollar Menu Dolan never interfered, imagine how good this team would be:

    CP3
    Harden/Gordon
    Covington/House
    Tucker/J. Green
    Capela

A top 5 defense lead by two of the greatest offensive players in NBA history. Sounds familiar.

Morey didn't want Westbrook, and he didn't want to have no financial flexibility. F**ktard owner forced him to have both.

Capela and Westbrook flat out could not play together if we were gonna try to compete for a title, so Morey had to make a desperate move and build a team that maybe could work with him.

Capela was awesome against every team except GS. Once golden St. fell out of the picture he would have been great in the postseason, but then Westbrook was forced upon us and he went back to being a liability. I will go to my grave thinking we would have won the title last season had Morey not been forced to trade for Westbrook and been allowed to use the assets to improve the existing core with CP3.
