Simple solution. Let him walk and sign Lebron James to be our center. Tell Lebron to just concentrate on rebounding, blocking shots and post moves. We'd be unstoppable! Oh and tell Lebron to accept only $10 million

    you guys...12??? 14?
If the number was so low he would take the QO.
Not to mention if that was that low other teams would get involved but anyway.
It's not going to happen unless he suffers a serious injury.

You guys are crazy. Expect to pay 20m+ for him next year. If not, bye bye to the next Hakeem.
If a smart idiot paid 20m for Anderson, imagine a dumb idiot for capela...might be more than 30m+

No chance he gets $12m/yr. My guess is for closer to $18m/yr. I would not be shocked to see someone go even higher than that.

I will do an effin backflip if we nab him long term at 12m per.

Well, I mean I’ll try to and likely hurt myself.

But I’ll be super excited none the less. Injured and all.

You'll be over the cap .... you'll have used your MLE to retain Luc .... What are you going to sign Nerlens with , a min contract ??? Yeah .... um , right ?

They'll retain Capela even if he gets $22m. They don't have the means to replace him and improve the team otherwise.

And they will have to throw 18 to Randle if they don't trade him, while keeping room for two max for the next summer which is exactly 70M, if not more.

Source? Also, if that actually is true, it’s pretty obvious that nobody was willing to give that to him or he wouldn’t have signed for 1 year in Philly.

Go ask Noel how that qualifying offer feels. He isn't likely to make more money in unrestricted than what he would have gotten in restricted.

uhm yea he IS likely to make more than 12 to 14 mil a year in unrestricted.
Why don't I go ask Greg Monroe instead?
Noel turned down an offer for 18- 19 mil a year not an offer of breadcrumps.

When I saw how small Lou Will's deal was today, the first thing I thought was "Clint's not going to get nearly as much as I thought." Barring a cellar dweller with cap room just wanting to overpay him to spend the cap room, I honestly don't think it's unrealistic that he could re-sign for something similar to what Eric Gordon got.

Lmao he admitted his self that he was planning to sign with the Rockets for the MLE until we demand the last year be partially guranteed like Tucker agreed to take.

One thing that separates Capella from the flotsam of centers overall is that he checks both the youth box and the defense box. Even if his offense is boosted by Harden/CP3, his defense is legit and can switch onto the perimeter at times. I think he will get an offer from someone for the Rockets to match. I don't know how much, but it won't be a Noel or KCP type situation where there's just no offers.

I can definitely see mark forcing us to match 18 which is still a good value. I just can’t see him passing up the opportunity to officially welcome Tillman to NBA free agency.
