The GOP Climate change deniers in Florida might not be around in twenty years, but if they are they can scream "Climate change is a hoax" from their rubber rafts drifting off into the Atlantic if we don't start taking action now.

Polar ice caps are melting as global warming causes climate change. We lose Arctic sea ice at a rate of almost 13% per decade, and over the past 30 years, the oldest and thickest ice in the Arctic has declined by a stunning 95%.

If emissions continue to rise unchecked, the Arctic could be ice-free in the summer by 2040.

If all Arctic ice melts the world temp could average t80 degrees F instead of 58 degrees F.

In North America the entire Atlantic seaboard would vanish, along with Florida and the Gulf Coast.

Those people in FL are already pressing for more federal help with addressing greater storm surges, saltwater intrusion and beach erosion. The type of things indicative of rising sea levels. FL has already strengthened their building codes to deal with increased storm strength. They’re dealing with Climate Change already whether they admit it or not.

FL politics are crazy but when it comes to climate change, the harsh reality right in your face is hard to ignore. They are already experiencing the impact.

The Rick Scott admin banned words like "climate change" from FL gov (head in sand kind of crap) and AFAIK, did crap for Florida. DeSantis actually is spending like crazy to mitigate climate change while saying he's not doing the left-wing stuff (you know, the spending stuff). What he is doing though is just that - mitigation. He's all in on spending a crap load of money to deal with the problem but nothing on slowing the root cause of the problem. That's much better than Rick Scott, but it's like completely giving up on any preventative care and going all in on continuous expensive treatments for an on-going health problem.

If you're so much for academic freedom how do you reconcile that with support of DeSantis shutting down teaching of things like African American studies?

Not only does he not shut down African American studies, studying black history is actually a required part of the curriculum in Florida.

What he is pushing back on is socialist indoctrination sneakily introduced as a Trojan horse on the back of an advanced placement course with the seemingly positive and innocent title African American studies.

Then why is he pushing to shut down those AP classes? Why is he also pushing policies to remove books out of school libraries that he doesn't find agreeable?
You're confirming rigth there that DeSantis wants to shut down those classes. You're supporting shutting down academic discussion in that topic because you don't ideologically agree with it.

Kinetic batteries with the use of flywheels has been floated around since the 80s. GM tried using molten salt batteries a decade ago.

Making things to scale and cheap with a roadmap for even cheaper gains of scale is no joke.

    Everybody learns about black history
At least in the 90s and we learned about Europe and world wars and the civil war
I even learned about Israel and Palestinians

maybe schools were just better in the 90s and the woke mob and teachers have messed up history and art classes so bad nobody wants their kids to learn from these lunatics
Oh biology is messed up now

It's smart engineering. Expect automatic windows update on PC to follow. Fox news is probably politicizing this now lol.

When your console is plugged in, connected to the Internet and regional carbon intensity data is available, Xbox will schedule game, app, and OS updates for your console at specific times during the nightly maintenance window that may result in lower carbon emissions because a higher proportion of electricity is coming from lower-carbon sources on the electric grid. For example, instead of your Xbox waking up during the nightly maintenance window at a random time between 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM, your console will wake up at a time when it can use the most renewable energy in your local energy grid. This decreases fossil fuel dependency and CO2 emissions, and could potentially save you money.
