I agree there are a lot of hypocrites. As I just said the CCP are massive hypocrites. That doesn't mean it isn't happening. Again you see it yourself in FL as your insurance rates rise and you pay more in property taxes to address things like beach erosion and saltwater inflitration. You can choose to deny it and post a bunch of snarky tweets that doesn't change that you are actually bearing the costs of climate change.
Since I'm stuck in hurry up and wait mode I'm going to make a point that I was saying to our Pro-Life posters. I understand feeling of self-righteousness and wanting to make statements that get likes from those that agree with us and make us feel warm and fuzzy with how morally superior we are. Climate change for me is one that I can easily see falling into that trap. It's easy just to call those who don't believe it greedy denialists who just care about profit and don't care about the struggles of the Global South who are bearing the brunt of Climate Change. It would be easy to just push for all sorts of punitive bans to try to stop or reverse the amount of greenhouse gases being emmitted. Most of those are unrealistic, impractical and could lead to other problems. They also harden positions rather than seek for solutions. This is why I not only think we do have the technology to do so we can gradually move off of fossile fuels without sacrificing development and quality of life. Further I think we should be looking to market based solutions rather than government dictates to do so. In my own field while changes in building code have called for more energy efficiency in construction it is new technology that is making a lot of that possible. Also we need to emphasize that even if the science of Climate Change is absolutely bunk there are a lot of good reasons to move from fossil fuels. Creating a distrubuted energy system with multiple sources makes us much more resilient and makes it less likely than any country or region can exert political control because of energy. The extraction and burning of fossil fuels also pollutes air and water that can be reduced. Health savings from better air and water quality can be a major economic benefit. Also greater efficiency and multiple energy sources can save a lot of money. Rather than viewing this as some sort of Leftist's plot should be the recognition that the tools of Capitalism can be used to address Climate Change. As the world is now if we want to seriously address climate change we need the tools of Capitalism to do it.
I can afford it. And all those like Obama, Pelosi, etc. who can afford it...they move close to the beach, not to where you live. They are so worried about "global warming" and "beach erosion" lol.
Anyone telling you that you can't fly or drive a car because of climate change isn't representative of what most liberals are advocating for. Al Gore was an alarmist but to some degree it was needed at the time. But yes, there are alarmists. But that doesn't mean the right reaction is to go from one extreme to another. The reason to agree or disagree with climate science isnt because of how protestors on one side or the other behave, or what color the maps are, but because of the actual science. The actual science is absolutely clear - mankind is causing CO2 levels to rise which is changing the climate.
Yep…. There’s been a notable uptick in right wing tweets or xs or whatever attacking climate change legislation, action, or science….
So you can afford to help all of Florida’s coastline…. ? The ultra rich can afford to move to the beach and then leave without an issue. If the basis of your logic is “well Obama and Pelosi are still leaving by the beach so rising seas isn’t an issue” then bless your heart.

If the basis of your logic is “well Obama and Pelosi are still leaving by the beach so rising seas isn’t an issue” or “Bill Gate used airplanes” then bless your heart.
So you’re acknowledging it’s happening but that you can afford it. Whether I can afford it or not I would still Like to save money in energy and paying less for insurance.
No, I am not acknowledging anything. The climate changes constantly. I'm in Chicago and it's warm. Guess what, it's summer.
A groomer and wuss. Can't even take a stand on something in an anonymous internet forum.... when your position is so obvious.
So far it's true. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/florid...cord-heat-100-degrees-fahrenheit-manatee-bay/ But:
Actually the Chinese government have done much more than any other governments in the world when it come to curb CO2 emission, the one child policy alone have reduced the population in China by at least 400 to 600 million. A second point, does people in China or India or Africa have the same right as people in this country to emit CO2?
