Yeah this is not good if industry is free to dump pollution in water that feeds into major water systems.

Brett Kavanagh ripped the right wingers and said it would hurt the epa. Yikes. When Brett Kavanagh is the man of reason what does that say? It's amazing we have a crooked Supreme court. We're so ****ed

When a conservative Justice writes in a ruling that the court is stripping the epa ability to fight climate change then yes they are OUT OF CONTROL.

nine justices agreed on the outcome. I don't think that's "out of control."

They did not agree on the underlying reason the case came to the court. Is this that hard for you?

I see your point, but I think it's fair to acknowledge he has one too here.

I am not the story here.

Is the court disagreeing an example of being "out of control"?

When a Supreme Court Justice makes this claim in an opinion and another RW justice joins her opinion then yes it's out of control and wreckless

    Corrupt right wing zealots

sounds like this is what the Court disagrees about

Towards a pragmatic approach to definition:“Wetlands” and the politics of meaning

    https://philpapers.org/rec/SCHTAP-15

this problem of definition has been an issue since the passage of the Clean Water Act and will continue to be a problem

Non-lawyers like @Os Trigonum still want you to believe the Republican justices are acting in good faith.

    Don't believe them.

This is a great breakdown. Its basically corruption at its finest. Disgusting that we have 6 republican zealots pretending they know what's best for the nation.

Sure, 5 or more right wing actors on the supreme court wanted an outcome that favored their group's business, political and personal interests, for whom they have a tribal affinity, so they invented some reasons to get to that outcome based on whatever formalistic nonsense was cited.

This is hardly a novel theory, and one doesn't need to have a fancy JD to figure out that this is what happened today and has been happening for decades or even centuries, more often than not.

People forget just how shitty this country was in the 70s. Kids couldn't play outside during recess because of smog. Lung illness were through the charts. People have no idea how good we have it today compared to the 70s.

Right wing zealots wanna undo all the progress we've made in this country. It's depressing.

Republicans have done nothing but obstruct progress in this country.

A republican president has not won the popular vote in over 2 decades yet somehow we allow these right wingers to pollute our water, strip away our personal freedoms and then strip away voting rights. At some point this country is going have enough with the right wing facist zealots on the court who do not represent the population.

They're corrupt and installed by a minority upheld by a corrupt electoral college system.
