Since we r thin on point guards and somewhat loaded at the 3, why don't we trade Spoon for Moochie? :D

    TBar:

Spoon was traded for Moochie, equally bad contracts, but sometimes actually useful.

Howard is part of the deal that brought T-mac here, I think most of us can live with that downside.

The only really horrible one is Mo, with a 8M+ contract which is not JVG's fault....

    Junshao-

You are right- I would rather have Spoon's contract and his play than Moochie(who should not be in the NBA)

I really do not mind Howard- He will contribute, and his contract is not that far out of line for the position in the West.

If Mo comes to camp in top condition, and with some luck (barring injury)-he will also contribute.

I really wish we had a banger. A tough guy to be Yao's enforcer. Mo tries to play that role and I sincerely appreciate it. Mo protects his team mate. The retribution is there.

For a banger - I should not have suggested Robinson- but he is and offensive force and scorer.

How about Troy Murphy as one poster proposed. He is very effective at the position and always scores heavy on the Rockets. He has my respect. He is 6' 11", 245#, and born 5-2-80. He is under contract for 3 years with a 4th year option @ 2,231,808.

Another option is Chris Wilcox from the Clippers. He does not see much playing time behind Elton Brand, but he really impressed me at Maryland. A tough -physical player. He is under the rookie contract with a 4th year option @ 2.8 mil. He is not as heavy as Murphy @ 221# and 6' 10", but his play is physical. Born 3-8-80.

Would the Clipps take Pike for him??

We need a banger does not have to be a premier player- if we can dump a contract too- so much the better....

The Clips wouldn't take back Piatkowski for Wilcox. Even though they have no use for him they know that they can do better... If you remember, Wilcox aboslutely dominated Drew Gooden in the Final Four. But it took him a year to adjust to the college game, and it looks like it'll take him longer to adjust to the pro game... It would be a quicker process if he actually for playing time.

Troy Murphy is still under contract for a year. He's not a very good defender, he's just better than Jamison was. Imagine Danny Fortson with more size and shooting range.

Even at his age Cliff is still one of the best defenders in the league. Never been a good rebounder, but still a very effective post defender. If we can't get anyone else, he wouldn't be a bad backup center option.

Hey TBar, I like both of your suggestions from yours and other ppl's description, though I know little about them myselrf. Just doubt whether Rox can get them. Anyhow, would sure like to see we get rid of one the 3PFs we have now for sure.
