Good job Denver squeezing 2 1st rounders for Mozgov. (Memphis / OKC) Asik only fetched 1. But it was protected for the lottery.

morey wanted 2 first for ASIK so it makes sense. CAVS OUT - 1st & waiters CAVS IN - jr. smith, shumpert, mozgov "a big need" not that bad, will have 3 bigs when verjo returns, love and mozgov is a nice combo in the frontcourt... rebound for days with lebron at the 3.
2015 first round draft pick from Memphis Memphis' 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-5 and 15-30 in 2015, 1-5 and 15-30 in 2016, 1-5 in 2017 and 1-5 in 2018 and unprotected in 2019 [Cleveland-Memphis, 1/22/2013] 2015 first round draft pick from Oklahoma City Oklahoma City's 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-18 in 2015, 1-15 in 2016 and 1-15 in 2017; if Oklahoma City has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Cleveland by 2017, then Oklahoma City will instead convey its 2018 2nd round pick and 2019 2nd round pick to Cleveland [Cleveland-New York-Oklahoma City, 1/5/2015]
GM LeBron doesn't care about the 5-10 year outlook of the Cavs; he wants to win in the next 2-3 years.
The OKC pick is interesting. Otherwise, these are late teens picks at best, and probably in the 20's. I suspect at the end of the day the OKC pick is late teens/20's, too. Having a 1st round pick is better than not, I suppose, but they didn't give up THAT much.
Memphis pick is as good as the Pelicans pick. Its also head and tail protected the next 2 years. With Gasol's contract status and in the west, this pick looks real good.
The Cavs have essentially traded Dion Waiters and Memphis' heavily protected 1st for Timothy Mozgov, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith

The problem with this approach is this : you are not sure which version of the Mike Miller you will be signing.
