Mihm is a bust! I rather trade Dream for Ilgauskas, the 7'3" center, look at his stats guys.

Rudy T. will find and fulfill Rockets destiny.

Little early to be calling someone a bust isn't it?

Besides, there is no way Cleveland would trade Ilgauskas. When he's healthy, which is rare, he's a pretty good center.

I'm a strong beleiver in odds.

What are the odds that Illgauskas will break his leg yet again?

I think maybe he was destined to break his leg twice in his life, and it was just bad luck that he did it two years in a row?

You knwo what i'm sayin....it's kinda hard to explain....But what if this is the last of his injuries? Or he learns his lesson?

Would you still take him for 11.25 MILLION?

Or sign Hakeem for 12 million over TWO years?

If we can land Mihm, next ear's first rounder, and a 1 or 2 million exception from them, then i say we take it....

We'll have MIhm and Cato at Center, with Mo comin over sometimes.....Some extra space to sign our free agents, or Marc Jackson....and if not Marc jackson,, then pick up another Center with the pick....

I don't think anyone in the league would want to take on Ilgauskas' salary at this time. He has had surgery on his foot (same bone) the past 2 seasons. There was talk that he may be forced to retire earlier this year. Much like Hakeem he is damaged goods and will be expected to miss a good portion of the regular season games.

Mihm is a better option than Doleac and I don't think the Cavs would draft Diop only to trade him away a month later for a much older player.

Cleveland head coach John Lucas says Cavs want centre Hakeem Olajuwon
    Jul. 23, 2001. 11:41 PM

HOUSTON (AP) - Cleveland Cavaliers coach John Lucas says the team will exhaust all its options to try to sign free agent centre Hakeem Olajuwon.
Olajuwon has spent his entire career with the Houston Rockets. His $16.5 million contract with Houston expired at the end of the season.
``I know that there are several teams that have an interest in him and we're one of them,'' Lucas told Houston television station KRIV.
Lucas, who lives in Houston during the off-season, has known Olajuwon for 15 years and wants to talk to him and his agent, Dan Fegan.
Lucas mentioned the possibility of a sign-and-trade agreement.
``We would have to look and see what it would take to get it done,'' he said. ``Obviously, we don't want to try to rip up our whole team to do it.''
Olajuwon was the NBA's Most Valuable Player in 1994, when he became the only player to ever to win honours as MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and MVP of the NBA final.
He averaged 11.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.55 blocks in 49 games last season.
He is Houston's career leader in nearly all categories, including games, points, free throws, rebounds, steals and minutes.
Olajuwon's agent did not return phone calls Monday for the sixth consecutive day.
Other teams, including the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers, have publicly expressed their interest in acquiring Olajuwon. The Rockets have maintained they would like Olajuwon to finish his career in Houston.

I wouldn't touch Doleac w/ a Manute Bol poll. He is a scrub plain and simple. He is similar to Collier but at least Collier can still develop into more than what Doleac is. Doleac has been in the league about 5 years and hasn't done anything impressive. Everyone thinks he is this great shooter, but I remember the Orlando game we won this past year and he was getting every look possible and couldn't hit. That's what he is, a jumpshooting big man who can't shoot. If we want to settle for him at center, might as well put MO-T there who can make shots and is faster.

Illgauskas...is the only player worth trading for Hakeem...everyone else is just a "project" and not going to get anywhere beyond what they already are...although Illgauskas is injury prone...therefore screw Cleveland...rather trade to Toronto for K.Clark or E.Montross(he's better than people think)...with Dell Curry.

I don't care what anybody says, that roster is pathetic. The Cav's at best are a cardboard team, no real substance, a waste of time. Pieces and parts were talking for a Hakeem that isn't getting traded to a losing team. This story is just are boredom, thus I'm actually posting. [IMG]

Miller is a good player stuck on the wrong team.
