He realized the run in Miami is over. Simple as that. I don't think they had much fun last season. The Heat fell off the tracks in March and never got back on for more than 1-2 games at a time. Some of Wade's cryptic comments during the season were an early hint.
This is the Cleveland way it will play out 1.) Cavs trade Wiggins, Thompson, and 1st round picks in 2015 and 2017 for Love. 2.) Love accepts trade but says he'll only re-sign if they get Lebron. 3.) Lebron decides to stay in Miami at last moment. 4.) Love leaves next summer. 5.) Kyrie demands a trade in an open letter to Dan Gilbert, using the comic sans font. 6.) Cavs win the draft lottery in 2015, with the pick going to Minnesota
LeBron James' wife and kids spend every summer in Akron, after a postseason family vacation, so it seems unrelated
Indeed. It's starting to remind me of that Dr. J. movie, The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh. Those who haven't seen this clip will thank me. Sometimes it's awesome being old. Crank yer volume, and feel free to stay on my lawn. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vpIN95XNDQc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You can't be serious. There is no way he goes back to Miami at this point. This is a 100% done deal and has been for some time. Open your eyes people.
He always planned on going back to Cleveland. He made a mistake by leaving the way he did. He had 4 good years in Miami and 2 rings. How could he NOT go back to Cleveland at this point my man?
LeBron is meeting with Riley and the Heat's salary cap expert... That tells me he is probably going back to Miami.
LeBron is 100%, without a doubt, going to Cleveland. The fact that he's announcing this today, right after the meeting with Riley, shows that he has already made up his mind. If he's staying in Miami, why meet with Riley? Why not just pick up the phone and say I'm going to stay. Riley would be thrilled if LeBron sent a private twitter message to him saying he'd be back. Meeting is not necessary.
If he's not staying in Miami, why meet with Riley? That meeting gets pretty uncomfortable very fast, no? He doesn't owe Riley a face-to-face. He thinks he owes nobody anything, as the King.
They are meeting in part to discuss the salary cap situation in Miami. That doesn't sound like he is leaving Miami.
I don't think who's at the meeting from the Heat means anything. If they aren't sure about James returning, they're going to bring a cap expert in case his agent or Lebron asks questions about it. Wouldn't affect James telling them adios, if that's what he wants to do.
Yes, here Dr. J descends in a pisces ex machina to save a rustbelt city's soul from the onslaught of superior basketball from the western conference. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/yVdbYX3MtlY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I am now convinced this is Lebron's ambition.
