Even if the Cavs do get #1 overall, there aren't a lot of guys who jump out at me this year who would propel them back to at least the playoffs. Is this current cavs team w/ harrison barnes or perry jones really good enough to get in the playoffs? I don't think so. Aside from Varajeo and maybe Williams or Jamison, they have nobody. Sessions, Graham, Boobie, and Harris will all be role players at best. [homer] Perhaps Morey can trade some of our assests for the Cav's high draft pick and also take a bad contract(Varajeo)? [/homer]
So we should be just happy with being better then Cleveland and passing the first round say every two decades or so?
At least the team is winning games. Cleveland fans are going through much worse than what we're going through. The Rockets have 2 titles at least while the Cavs didn't win a single one during the LeBron era. And to put on top that your best player ditched you on National TV to chase a championship and basically say that your whole team sucks and could never win it there. Now, they have re-written history books on having the longest streak in NBA history and reminded us how valuable Lebron James was on that team. Plus, the Rockets may be a trade away from being a play-off team. Trust me. They have it way worse than us rocket fans.
we play the cavs on a second night of a back to back in a week if we lose to them then may God have mercy on this board.
The goal is to win championships. In that regard, for over a good decade now Cleveland and Houston are tied at 0-0. And if we are looking for moral victories, then the Cavs were actually exciting to watch with Lebron and made the Finals a couple of times at least.
Are you completely ignoring the fact that the Rockets weren't exciting to watch when T-Mac and Yao paired up for their first run in '04-05'? The 22 game winning streak? Making it out of the first round in 12 years in 2009? None of this was exciting for you this past decade?
Yes, and in general that we don't live in Cleveland. Well, I guess the Indians are better than the Astros, but that's about it.
Only 8 teams have won championship in the last 3 decades. The Rockets are one of them. Yeah, if only championship counts, we have been better than 22 teams in that regard. BTW, only one team in the history of the NBA has had a longer winning streak than us. Be grateful, man.
The Cavs wasted a good, solid effort at Dallas (where they had no chance of winning) and laid an egg tonight against Detroit. 0-26 and 1-36. Just incredible.
Look on the bright side, if they go 1-28 they can tie the record for futility. Likewise, if they go 0-29 they will be one of the greatest teams in NBA history
Looks like the cavs are gonna win 9 games this season and lebron is gonna be the.mvp once again...karma IS a b****...
Recollecting on what happened, I still believe it was unnecessary and pompous. He was just beating around the bush- a mediaw****- if you planned to donate, then just donate; geez. But ok, that's neither here nor there. /rant
