Why do you find it hard to believe? Morey said it himself. Unless you just think he was lying to Rockets fans to make it seem like the front office was doing more/closer than they really were? I can't come to that conclusion -- I'll just go by what Morey said himself.

    Has he?
I mean you can believe what you want, you might very well be right.
I just find it hard to belive that we were willing to take on Elton Brand.
Nocioni, yeah. Kapono, yeah. Throw in #14, Ariza, Hill/Bud, yeah. But us taking on Brand? At that time? I just don't see it.

OK...as BIMA corrected me...there was no Grady on the roster to match Brand. So the only way Brand & the #2 (Cousins) were coming to HOU is if Yao or Martin were going out. (Scola would have been BYC in a SnT).

Without Yao or Martin, you can't match Brand except with Battier and another contract $4+M.

Even if I thought for a moment Les/Morey would take on Brand, I just don't see how the numbers add up.

And further...think there'd be better offers than Hill or Dragic for this years' #4.
