A-Rod is no longer a SS. the guy is having trouble fielding 3B, frankly. i wouldn't dare put him at the position that gets hit at the most.

jgreen, there were rumors all of last year how Roger would be traded to the Yankees or the Red Sox... The talking heads on ESPN and local radio acted as if they were privy to some secret information that the general public couldnt possibly grasp...

then this season rolls around, the same heads were confident that he would sign with one of two teams- NYY or BOS...

your sources couldnt possibly be from the Northeast, could they?

I'll admit, I got caught up in Yankee fever in the 2001 series... (I pulled for the Mets in 2000)... But it will be a cold day in hell if Roger wears the pinstripes for his former team again...

Bagwell is making a miraculous return...
Or Kobe is being called up....

    Actually, I have no idea.

Clutch the ridiculous bear. That stupid skunk-looking thing the Comets have. Houston is a wasteland as far as mascots. Back in the 80s when that guy that did the flips was working for the Rockets, and the Astros had "General Admission" (iirc) and Orbit it was a lot better.

My favorite was Crazy George at the Oilers games. I don't think he was official or anything, but he sure was fun to watch.

Spot on Buck......this is probabaly "the rabbit." And plus, it explains why Roger would know this information and leak it to the media.

C'mon people, if this "rabbit" were some sort of big waiver-wire trade, you think the Astros would be ok with Roger tipping their hand so some other team could swoop in and offer a better deal, thus stealing away Drayton's precious lil frickin rabbit. Be real. Didnt the McGrady/Francis trade of 2004 and its early leaking, then followed by Phoenix's "swooping in" attempt teach us anything......

Furthermore, Roger aint headin EAST.....thats total bull**** in its purest form. At this point in the season, the Astros cant consider themselves as sellers as they are still in the Wild Card hunt. So any sellers deal would bring massive amounts of negative PR for sure, and thats not even accounting the backlash they would recieve for trading away the hometown golden boy.

Plain and simple.....anyone who claims their "sources" say the Stros' are tradin Roger are full of sh*t. Hell that rumor is even lamer then the Odom for Howard, Novak rumor that's hijacked the GARM.....

There's not a chance in the world. It never was even considered by anyone except the back rooms in Bristol, CT and a few Yankee fans who think the world revolves around them. Sorry, if you heard anything to the contrary, your informant is dead wrong.

Anyway, considering Frday is after the Sept. 1 roster deadline for the playoffs, I'm guessing this will have to do with Oswalt.

I remember him. He looked like Terry Bradshaw's unhinged brother. I think he went around to a few teams...I recall him in Kansas City, too. Less furry creatures and more nutters.

Well the Stros have a prime candidate for a, dare I say...."nutter."

The train conductor for that "homer train" in left should have this roll. He's in prime view of everyone, even the TV cameras, given that he is next to a two-ton locomotive thats oddly placed in a ballpark.

Imagine a Crazy Geroge-type personality as the train conductor....man that would be perfect.

Aww c'mon. True a bear has nothing to do with a rocket, but Clutch is actually one of the better mascots in the leauge.
