i didn't hear what clemens said. but i know that the local media has been reporting, foolishly, that there's bad blood between oswalt and the club...that oswalt is pissed at the 'stros for having his name thrown out in trade talks. maybe clemens is meaning it might be a surprise from that perspective that roy signs a 5 year deal to stick around here.

 

Today is Roy's b-day; I think they'll reach a deal today. If not, Friday makes sense since the two sides have agreed to table discussions until after the season if a deal is not reached by the end of August.

Don't be surprised if Clemens gets put on waivers one way or another and ends up on a championship contender, yankees, red sox, etc. You heard it here first. Not going to mention my sources just yet.

 

I'd personally sue MLB and all their sorry owners for collusion if somehow Clemens ended up on the Yankees or the Red Sox.
