OP speaks the truth. The downside for the Rockets is that this scrub sets foot on the court. My expectations are for him to be a good cheerleader sitting on the sidelines the whole season. Maybe he can even occasionally wipe the sweat off of D12 and Harden. That might be the biggest impact he has and the most positive thing he does as a Rocket.
Cosign..I never even heard of this dude til we signed him. Not excited about him at all. And clearly I shouldnt be
If thats the case... and this is like some Pat Beverley "9th string in all Euro leagues" analysis, then might actually can have a little more optimism in the signing
I thought I read somewhere that we couldn't sign Delfino since he was waived as opposed to his option just not being picked up, like Garcia. That's why some teams trade guys to teams that will just waive them and let the guy sign back with the original team. I could have just misread something though... There has been a lot to read the past couple days.
Thanks for sharing your opinion of him. Given what you say is true, he sounds like a decent complimentary guy to help our 2nd unit on the floor. I doubt that he'll be required to dribble and penetrate if that's not in his skill set but, he will be required to find his spots and knock down open jumpers. As for his defense and weight, I'm hoping that the team lends itself to him improving. We've been fortunate enough as a team to get the most out of our role players. Welcome to Clutchfans
I think Profondo Rosso and Casspi were rivals in an Israeli youth basketball league This stems from when Casspi won the championship game using his signature defensive move on Profondo Rondo called the "Gaza Strip" and they have been feuding for decades.
I'm sorry I don't butcher the english language in the same way as the israelis you know from work but anyway I could do worse than Lazenby... But i'm really curious now as to who you thought I might be... My opinion of Casspi materialized after watching him play for a few seasons in the israeli league. I am not basing my words on some youtube highlights and a few NBA games on TV. I got nothing against the guy, i'd be the first man to give props to him if he manages to pick himself up and reinvent himself. I just think it's a long shot. but as everybody here already said, it's not gonna be an expensive fail anyway, if he does fail.
I think Morey was trying to finish building his international boy band with the loss of Delfino. Everyone knows a boy band has to have 5 members, sheesh. Parsons-Lin-Ohlbrecht-Asik-Casspi (took over for DelFineO) Image is first, performances will be auto-tuned
I get the euro-chic thing, but doesn't it usually happen when the player is unknown? once you know it's bad for you, don't touch it.
