That isn't a classy move by Iverson but in his defense he looks down to see where Lue is and makes sure to step over Lue's lower torso and is careful where he steps.
Thats BS. He didnt do it on purpose. ESPN is garbage. You can clearly see he looked back to see what the ref called then looked up bc he was upset over the call. He never looked down and at the same time stepped on him. He just clearly misjudged his step.
LOL stop trying to blame it on ESPN. I saw live footage from the game and it was obvious that he didn't care for what he just did, intentional or not. Even right after he stepped on his face (and could've crushed it) he didn't even GLANCE back. So are you just saying that he just "misjudged his step," in which case he should've had the common sense to look back? Thats bull****. Some of you Coog fans should be ashamed. I know if an OKST/UofA basketball/ football player did the same thing to another opponent, I would NOT condone or defend him. Shame on you. Shame on you. F*** Aubrey Coleman. He knows full well at the time what he just did but it was obvious he enjoyed it more than anything.
LMAO. We got Aubrey's back. He apologized and the people who know him know he's a good kid. Go root for UT.
Again-he was ****ing SMILING and HIGH-FIVING -which ESPN did NOT show. I'm not going to condemn the kid, but he deserves to be suspended. Stop defending the kid.
I love how this guy reads kids minds. You don't know. And just by how you write and react, your perspective is pretty whacked out. HA! You get a drama points for the bleeps and the shame on you bit.

Thats right, give me some love *smiles and high fives his teammates* "
If you find yourself suddenly on top of something, you stride out. You don't shorten your stride. This is very tacky. We are all "reading Coleman's mind" and we don't have to be so naive as just to take his self-defense at face value.
Watch the video I just posted (well, it was last night actually). Intentional or not, he did not even look back after he just stepped on somebody's face. Wouldn't you react immediately if it was an accident?
Now I noticed he shortened his stride a little. I don't think he meant to step on his face, but just nudge him a little. I like it (Don't go for the face though). But thats just me.
In the Daily Cougar today, they quote penders saying that coleman is the best player on the team. I guess ill eat crow for that, but I still think that in the 4Q, you want (and Penders does) put the ball in Lewis' hands. I think that easily makes you the best player. I think its more of a move to cover up Coleman, but Ill take my comment back. I still think it was intentional
Agreed. Ball in Kelvin's hands at the end of the fourth. But if he cant get open, i dont mind Aubrey taking the shot. At least we can both be on the same side when the coogs take on the miners tomorrow.
I just can't believe the number of people claiming it was an accident. It was no accident. Completely pre-meditated. He tried to be sneaky and make it look like it was an accident, but he saw an opportunity to step on the guy's face and took it. With force. His punk a$$ needs to be suspended.
He was suspended a game. CUSA requires a suspension after flagerent ejections. If you knew anything about the kid, you would know hes not a punk. But you've watched an espn slow motion replay, so now you can read his mind...
It doesn't matter whether or not he's a punk! It's his ACTION that matters. I'm a totally decent guy, but if I accidentally hit someone with my car, shouldn't I face some sort of consequence? I didn't MEAN to hit him with my car, but I STILL HIT HIM WITH MY CAR. I've already canceled my plans to go to the game tonight. The fact that UH isn't suspending or even punishing him is despicable. I cannot support UH basketball right now. 9 hours later, my friend gets courtside seats to the Rockets tonight. I wouldn't have gone anyway. =D
Congrats on the courtside. That should be a great experience. I see the logic in your analogy (despite the fact that accidentially standing on someone is not a flagerent foul in basketball). I should point out, as i mentioned earlier, that he was suspended. Says Uncle Dave: “During his career at UH, Aubrey has never been involved in an incident that would question his respect for this game,” said UH athletics director Dave Maggard. “He has apologized to Chase Budinger for what occurred, and Conference USA officials have taken action regarding this matter. “The University of Houston has always and will continue to uphold the highest levels of sportsmanship in every respect. We apologize to the University of Arizona, its basketball team and to the Tucson community for what occurred Saturday evening. Aubrey will be suspended for Wednesday night’s game, and we now consider the matter to be closed.” SO, go ahead and get back on the bandwagon (after courtside, of course).
I definitely see your point, but I think we're just going to be on different sides here. For the record, I've been at UH for a yer and a half, and I'm about to graduate (not a bandwagon fan... I root for my school because they're my school). I DO think Kelvin Lewis will be the absolute best player on this team before too long; the coaches have been actually working on improving his game. Penders said they were working on his jump hook during the Houston Athletics podcast (amongst other things). And I won't root against UH, but I still think they greatly mishandled this. I want UH athletics to be like it was in the 80s, but I don't want it at the cost of stepping on faces (accidental or not) or classless hate hits (Tulane). I'm sure I'll bury my disgust before too long. After all, I went back to UH football after the Tulane game.
