Todd Rundgren's "Faithful" album has nearly note for note reproductions of the following:

Happenings Ten Years Time Ago - Yardbirds
    Good Vibrations - Beach Boys
    Rain - Beatles
Most Likely You Go Your Way And I'll Go Mine - Dylan
If Six Was Nine - Hendrix
    Strawberry Fields Forever - Beatles

REM does Lou Reed's Pale Blue Eyes, Femme Fatale, and Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic on "Dead Letter Office"

Meowgi, are those Turbonegro and Hellacopters tunes on albums?

Type O Negative - "Cinnamon Girl" (Neil Young), "Daytripper / She's So Heavy" (Beatles), "Summer Breeze" (Seals & Crofts), "Hey Pete" (Hendrix - Hey Joe)

Megadeth - "Paranoid" (Sabbath), "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (Alice Cooper)

Siouxsie & the Banshees did screeching versions of Dear Prudence and Helter Skelter by the Beatles. They were an underrated band.

That reminds me: Uncut had a CD of Beatles covers that came with one issue. Echo & the Bunnymen's Ticket to Ride was good. Siouxsie and the Banshees' Helter Skelter was all right. Otis Redding's Day Tripper was great. Most of the rest weren't worth it.

Golden Earring's "Radar Love" was covered by REM, U2, Crowded House, Def Leppard, Carlos Santana, Widespread Panic, and of course, White Lion..........as well as a host of others.

I LOVE the cover of Todd Rundgren's "The Want of Nail" from the original motion picture soundtrack of "Camp", performed by the cast of the film.

That reminds me - I picked up "Blind" by the Sundays because I had fallen in love with their version of "Wild Horses" (which I first heard in the movie "Fear" ).

Hendrix did an awesome version of Dylan's Like a Rolling Stone too. That was on the Live at Monterrey album (which I can't find on CD  ).
