If you combine Class 1 and Class 2 you get Clyde's favorite: "THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL A SEASONED VETERAN"

It must be a curse of the Clydes because Walt Clyde Frazier makes the exact same ridiculous comments ("Serendipitous jump shot!")

well walt is known for his use of his vocabulary, at times its funny and entertaining to hear a basketball game called that way at other times i feel bad for people who do not understand what he is saying.

There was nothing wrong with that quote. Shellacking is a real word, and that's exactly what it means.

Rafer is a allstar, and one of the top 5 in the NBA.

I find that ridiculous too...how does someone that spent their whole life around basketball not understand the simple lingo. Is he far sighted or something, or does he not know the meaning of that phrase. I also miss Murph, nobody points out the yummy bears anymore.

Anyone catch Allen Houston on ESPN's halftime show during Bulls vs. Suns last night? Very Drexler-esque commentary by him. He'd describe one of the earlier games of the day and repeat the comment about 3 times before Fred Hickman mercilously cut him off.

Are you kidding me? They have their one dumbass, too. Maybe not as airheaded as Drexler, but still terrible. The guy who sounds older and like he was some college coach or something, heh. That guy is a moron.

I suppose all of these color commentary pairs have one fairly intelligent speaker working with one token moron.

No, he thinks Rafer is the BEST in terms of running the fast break (or tied with the best, anyways). He thinks Rafer is "up there with Steve Nash in terms of running the break".

He thinks overall he's a top 5 guard, and a "darkhorse" MVP candidate. I can NOT understand his Alston love affair for the life of me.

I'd personally vote for The Clydes to call the Rookie All-Star game with Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson as the Halftime commentators. Oh the vocabulary...There is nothing on TV today that could compete with that comedy.

Still (as much as I hate his commentary) I prefer Clyde over Van Chancellor...sometimes I didn't know if I was watching a Rockets game or Hee Haw with that guy

van grew on me by the end of the season, what he did do though was provide some decent insight into games since he is a coach so that helped. at first it was hard to understand and listen to him but when you got used to it he wasnt nearly as bad as clyde who rehashes everything bill says

Clyde: "There is no one smarter than Ron Artest"... and after realizing what he just said: "...uh...in terms of getting steals".
