Bill: "When the Rockets get Bonzi and Yao back, now with Snyder, they will have a lot of depth" Clyde: "Yes, they will have great depth, depth is key." "he is the consumate professional" "they are a formidable opponent" "marvelous" "wonderful" "arrrgh not in my house" "that's called incredibility."
This is what I call total domination.. everytime guys you think Clyde is dumb and funny, watch this video.
ya i saw the game rockets mavs game on TXA 21 here in tyler and stuff they say is always relating to the play and somehow insightful. and they did give us credit like when we had rafer and head in at the same time, they said that's a deadly combination since both of them are very good 3pt shooters. ok maybe not rafer. lol. bill and clyde are always talking about what happened 10 years ago.
Living in the past is indicative of mental dysfunction... I think Clyde is a has-been... a great voice, a great presenter, but much like the quality coach he was at UH, he's pretty crappy. bring back Calvin Murphy!
My favorite Clydeism of all time: Bill: He read that play like a book. Clyde: Yes, he read that like a.....good novel
What about: "X is the ultimate competitor" when refering to anybody who's taken a charge or done anythin good at all.....
I just watched the 1992 All-Star game on NBA TV. Clyde had about 3-4 monster dunks in that one, including one where he was alone on a fast break and threw it down over Jordan. He's so goofy on TV as a commentator you almost forget what an incredible player he was...
I like bullard better... when Devon George got knocked in the balls.. he mentioned something about solar plexes..and Bill played along with it which was pretty funny..
I can't believe nobody else has mentioned this one. That is one of the top 5 absurd comments I've ever heard made by a commentator. I couldn't believe my ears when he said that. I had to ask someone if I had heard right.
Yesterday, he actually said something like "Dikembe Mutombo, still getting it done at a young age!" And another time he said "Rafer almost always makes those tear-drop shots!" I think when he tries come up with something new and insightful, he somehow ends up saying something completely wrong and false.
