This was on drudgereport this afternoon...I have no idea if it's true or not or what the real source for it is: Wesley Clark fundraised for Republicans in 2001, for Pulaski County Republican Party (Little Rock)... December 2001: Clark registers to vote in Little Rock as independent... But in 2003, now he is a Democrat?...
Oh, oh!! Spaghettios!! BTW - congrats Max on 10,000 posts. I remember when I was way ahead of you and you have just blown my ass away!
Let's say that you are gone for a week. Counting this post, I am 2,798 posts behind you. Let's also say that I stay that amount behind you as you get ready for your trial. I would have to average 2,798/7 = 399.7 posts a day to catch you! Okay, I am bored and tired and fixing to leave work so I will shut up now.
Back on topic, Joe Conason linked to this post today anticipating attacks on Clark from the right, most of which are already contained in this very thread. Yep, just like I said yesterday, the wheels of the hate machine are turning.
Thanks for the ammo, Samuel. It looks like we have quite a bit to work with. WACO RUSSIA AL QUEDA Clark has quite a few skeletons in his closet waiting to be EXPOSED
Keep your trap shut or else he is going to black helicopter your ass. Hmm, Shall I vote for Cincinnatus Or Catiline? Tough choice. Even Americans aren't stupid enough to mess this up. Muhuhhahahahah!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHHA your funny dude your going to connect Clark with terrorist ? i'm dying to see that.. if you are really as confident and you say, you wouldnt need to grasp at straws when the election is still over a year away DESPERATION EXPOSED
SamFisher, Most of the leads for the Clark articles that I posted were from extreme left web sites. Counterpunch is a rightwing web site? Why does that get overlooked and the emphasis get put on conservatives? Question Scenario: Clark starts to gain serious ground on Kerry, Dean etc for the Democratic Presidential bid...........do they play hardball and attack Clark's record to slow his momentum or do they play nice and let him take the bid so they can lobby for the Vice Presidential slot? </i?
Clark starts to gain serious ground on Kerry, Dean etc for the Democratic Presidential bid...........do they play hardball and attack Clark's record to slow his momentum or do they play nice and let him take the bid so they can lobby for the Vice Presidential slot? I think Dean will play hardball - the rest drop out. Dean is in this thing to win it at all costs, in my opinion. The others, I think, are far more timid and walk away ... especially the younger ones who have a long-term future to protect.
I think the other candidates don't hit him on his military record but lack of experience with domestic issues, or the fact that he's never held an elective office. Then Clark can still add his strong points to the ticket if he ends up being the VP.
Another brave well thought out post, I salute you Sam. I'm tempted to call you Uncle Sam do to your complete understanding of what makes a true American Patriot Hero (APH) soar on Mighty Liberal Eagle (MLE). Let the neo-bumpkins continue their blind support for the de-clawed charlatan Cincinnatus Bengal they call President Curious George. Maybe someday he will know the truth of his administration and return to his farm where he can cause no further harm and allow the true Lucius take his rightful seat in the White House.
Indeed it was; I particulary enjoyed counterpunch's "John Kerry is a murderous throatslitter" article, because he served in Vietnam. Why is it surprising that a centrist candidate like Clark has enemies on both sides of the fence? IExtremists of all stripes who run personalized smear campaigns are worthy of some degree of contempt, although I guess it didn't stop you when you co-opted the countrpunch article and posted it, did it? I suppose we're lucky that nobody has floated a rumor yet that Vietnam made Wesley crazy, like Bush's folks did to McCain. Until then, the legacy of the Arkansas project continues. Do your worst. KingCheetah: the Oath of the Horatii has been taken; the curiati (a.k.a. illogical alabamans who slam various items in their free time) shall soon fall and Glory will be restored to the Republic.
Sure......right, in your dreams, baby. It's four more years of Bush and four more years of "I tell you in 2008 I have a good feeling......" Come next December, I will try not to rub it in too hard, even though my candidate (Harry Browne) will lose as well. But at least the country will be spared the ignimony of another clueless, pandering Democrat administration and that's fine by me. Your soaring liberal eagle, which is more like a turkey with all the baggage your side of the aisle carries, will be shot down henceforth and you will spend the next four years whining and hatching your conspiracy theories. So enjoy your wellspring of hope, because you're no different than a Bengals fan in week one with dreams of a possible Super Bowl, because it simply is not going to come to pass.
Your history on the BBS probably doesn't go back far enough, but Counterpunch has been used by the left as a valid source in previous discussions. When a noted member of the left started posting about Wesley Clark, I wanted to see if the article would be denounced as a rightwing plot. If you noticed, I didn't give the url in my initial post. After that, I stuck with relatively mainstream sources. There are numerous extreme liberal sites that throw some pretty nasty stuff at Clark that I didn't use because my tendency is to stick with mainstream sources when posting. If the Dean (likely viewed to the left of Clark) supporters see Clark seriously challenging for the Democratic Presidential nomination, do you think they will go peacefully into the night or sling some of the mud that is out there on the extreme left web sites? The way your posts read, Clark already has the Democratic Presidential Nomination and is challenging Bush. The way I view it, Clark is currently challenging: Kerry Dean Gephardt Edwards etc with Bush facing the survivor of that round. The Democrats on the BBS will likely unify and support the winner of the Democratic Nomination, but there is some significant ground to be covered in the Democratic primaries and BBS debates before the unification.
Ya know, we were this close to having the turkey as our national bird instead of the bald eagle.. if only Benny Franklin had his way
