They did this color scheme for the sole reason that it would blend in better with Credit Karma patch.
Shorts are great. Jerseys are bland AF. Not too fond of the trend that's basically the antithesis of the 90s (designs way too loud). The pendulum has swung too far in the opposite direction (yes, I understand these are throwbacks). The Hawks main is more my target in how dull a team's uniform can be. Houston's primary is still remarkably bland and uninspiring. Overall it's a nice nod to the past, though they're staying a bit in recent years (light blue then the return of the dark blue, now green). Red really does need to be the featured color for this team's brand.
I just threw up in my mouth. What are we, the Oregon Ducks? End this insane uniform crap that has cursed us since the pinstripe debacle and start dressing like the champions we once were. And get that effing credit karma patch off my Rockets. I hate everything about all of this. It’s not cool or hip, just offensive and stupid.
I’ll also add that an NBA team dressed like a second-tier college team probably won’t get a lot of calls from the refs.
I like the idea and concept. Thought the video and shoutouts to early legends were cool. Would have omitted Pat Riley from the list though. I thought him playing for the Rockets was more a fun piece of trivia rather than something held in historical reverence. The uniform itself is okay. Would have liked to see the old rocket guy logo in some form.
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I hate these uniforms. It's just an awful color scheme. I was excited when I saw the preview yesterday but this is a letdown.
These are the best uniforms we've had since the red and mustard. I'll take em. It only took what, 27 something years?
Like em a lot. the 1 off jerseys they only do for a year really gives them a chance to try out some different things. They’ve done a good job with white alternate jerseys which is pretty good, since I often don’t like white jerseys. too bad the standard red/whites suck. All the others are pretty good
Never been so glad to be so wrong. I started out as a San Diego Rockets fan. Retiring Elvin Hayes number finally happens. Respect to TF.
