I'm sure I am going to miss some but here is what I can remember off the top of my head. Iran Abadan Ahwaz Shiraz Tehran Isfihan Few other smaller cities along the way Europe London, England Manchester, England Birmingham, England Amsterdamn, Holland Horen, Holland Barcelona, Spain Florence, Italy Rome, Italy Paris, France Mykonos Island, Greece Santorini Island, Greece Barcelona, Spain USA & Mexico Houston San Antonio Dallas Austin Shawnee, OK Baton Rouge Lake Charles New Orleans Orlando Miami Boston New York Chicago Phoenix Las Vegas Los Angeles San Diego San Francisco Palo Alto Cancun, Mexico Cozumel, Mexico
My Fav's Munich Frankfurt Zurich Boston Chicago Orlando Colorado Springs I took a trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland a couple years ago but I can't remember most of the cities.
A lot of cities to list, so let's make it a brief list: 1. Rio de Janeiro (I was lucky; no drug-lords-taking-over during my visit) 2. Rome 3. Mexico City (hey, if you get bored here, you've got problems) 4. Venice (it was during Carnevale, would otherwise drop down the list) 5. Garmisch/Munich (it was during OktoberFest, I probably shouldn't remember it at all) 6. Tokyo. The city itself is fairly ugly, but it is one hell of an experience. And lots of beautiful places within reach, like Kamakura. 7. Chicago (as a visitor, it's like a sore d**k; you can't beat it) 8. Guadalajara (the city has got great thangs gowanns-on, but the women, bee-yoo-tee-ful) 9. San Antonio (around the River Walk, yes, great; outside the River Walk, minus the odd tourist attraction here and there, there is a lot of nothing) 10. London 11. Palermo 12. Chania/Iraklio (two cities in Crete, a tie)
oh boy. i spent 8 years in Richmond and the past 4+ in Scarborough. Toronto =) one question for you. since Richmond is so small. which high school did you go to?
Posting several well taken photographs does not make Houston any less of an ugly city because it is a real **** hole compared to most other places. There is a lot of work and the cost of living is low. That's about it. edit: Most of those pictures aren't even that great! Buffalo Bayou? Really? Nasty brown water with billboards in the background. Not what I consider beautiful.
I don't think Houston is ugly. I mean it has everything you want in a city. You can go from a street with really nice and tall buildings to a farm with farm animals. You can go from a Buddhist temple to a beach. People here are nice and it has great shopping. Houston's suburb's are also amazing too. You get both the cowboys experience and luxury life style. There's nothing ugly in Uptown, midtown and downtown.
Galveston is a pimple on the ass of beaches around the world. Houston suburbs are endless strip malls and boxy homes that all look identical. Uptown, midtown, and downtown, while getting better, is still surrounded by tons of ****. Our highways are nasty and billboard infested. We are surrounded by nothing but flat, uninteresting country. It's hot, polluted, and we have zero mass transit outside of Metro that no one wants to use. Houston is a turd and I can't wait to get out of this city for good.
To many cities to list so I will list some of my favorites: Houston - Rockets, Astros and where I grew up, need I say more? Hong Kong - The ultimate city Derry / LondonDerry - Beautiful walled city and very friendly people. Less expensive than Dublin Singapore - The best place in the world for food. Berkeley - Go Bears! San Francisco Minneapolis Austin San Diego
Lived In: -Hong Kong (10 years, 87-98) -Houston, TX (greater Houston area) (5 years, 98-00, 09-present) -San Francisco Bay Area, CA (00-05) (easily the best place I've ever lived or been to. Just a chill environment) -Los Angeles, CA (greater LA area) (05-09) Visited (that I remember, maybe some places as a kid I don't): -Pakistan (Lahore and Karachi) (ever summer before 97 as well as summer 05) -London, England (summer 05, winter 06, summer 08) -Atlanta, GA (sometime in 03 I think) -Tampa Bay, FL (03) -Dallas, TX (many times) -San Diego, CA (couple of times) Lived in a bunch of cities but don't vacation too much. Bunch of random cities/states I have been to airports of or driven through that I didn't count.
