I've had doubts about the movie from the start and this 25-minute "Super Preview" isn't very convincing IMO.

From the preview, I like it better than the previous movies. I still don't like the casting for peter parker but he's grown on me a bit. Anything is better than Toby McGuire.

Yes, but it was 25 minutes of actual footage (the vast majority of which I hadn't seen before). It feels like I've seen the movie. Very well done by the fan but it confirmed my doubts.

And now the video has been taken down.

Saw this last night. Released in India earlier. Very bland and boring. The 3D and the camera angles for the Spider-man building hopping scenes were really well done. but otherwise, I would advise you guys to skip this and watch Sam Raimi's Spider-man again. more or less the same movie.

    I saw it, my review:

This movie was AWFUL. Had none of the charm Spider-Man 1 & 2 had. When Ben died there was hardly emotional impact on the audience. Not like in the original Spider-Man where Toby made you FEEL how crappy he felt. And all the things that led up to Peter becoming Spidey in this movie was too ridiculous, like how he made up his mind to make the suit by falling into that place (you'll know when you watch it). Many things defied common sense in this movie, it was like Peter wanted everyone to know he was Spider-Man. Not like in Raimi's where it was much more discrete. Just freakin awful.

    To add above:

Marc Webb should stick to making rom-coms.

Unfortunately for me, my six-year-old boy didn't blink at this review.

Just got back from the midnight release on IMAX 3D. Pretty good movie. Better than the first series, I'd say. No awkward crying Tobey Maguire and lame snaggle-toothed love interest in Kirsten Dunst. Overall good characters and good acting. Overall 3D wasn't spectacular, though there are parts here and there where it was well done. And I will say that it looks great on IMAX.

And stick around after the first set of credits. Nothing after the second set.

Oh, and the trailer for The Hobbit? Practically

THERE WAS A HOBBIT TRAILER ON THE 3D ONE?

Dangit, I saw it in 2d.

Anyways, I really enjoyed it. Garfield is a great Spider-Man/Peter Parker. The action scenes were pretty well done. I've heard it was too long, but I was never bored once. I'd give it a solid 8/10, maybe even 8.5/10. It is worth seeing. Everyone I was with enjoyed it too, and from what I've seen the general reaction has been positive. It's worth seeing and I wouldn't let the few negative reviews above discourage you from that. I'm pretty excited to see where this series goes.
