Anything can become an addiction or your own personal religion, plenty of zealots out there for other causes. Anyone who goes too far loses many shades of grey, but almost no one is completely white or black in their actions/beliefs. You can find good in the worst, and evil in the best. That's humanity. Why? If you need to watch a movie about innocent children getting abducted to really appreciate how precious your child is then I have to question where you were at as a parent prior where you need to watch that to feel something. Hollywood uses these cheap tricks to hook in an audience with the same old tropes. Taken.. every other straight to DVD Bruce Willis movie…. Like we don’t need another movie about this to know child trafficking is an outrage… and I sure as hell don’t need to be convinced that the way to make change is through me buying an arsenal and blasting away brown people I suspect are guilty. If you care about this issue maybe go volunteer or donate to the NCMEC. You aren’t a hero or woke just because you saw this B level hero p*rn flick, and posted on Facebook about how good it is. I’m glad this thread has gone full D&D, it was obvious to me from the jump it would eventually go there. it’s a fact that one of the crowd funders (different from the pay it forward group scooping up tickets to inflate box office numbers) recognized in the film’s credits has been arrested for child trafficking. it also reminds me of the QAnon backed Out Of Shadows “documentary” and “Save The Children” movements during 2020. Also if you see through the ruse it means you are a pedophile with something to hide because you are a child hating/grooming liberal pedophile.
Man, people are so embittered and delusional about politics that they can't appreciate a movie bringing awareness about child trafficking to the world. Honestly, more movies should be about this issues but people would rather watch Barbie. Sad to see people criticizing a movie trying to do good.
Who is not aware that child traffficking is real and bad? Find one parent that isn’t scared to death of someone snatching their kid off a target parking lot if they walk too far away from them. Plenty of movies are made about lots of issues, why can't some be made about child trafficking? Would you be as upset if someone you agreed with made the movie? I'm guessing not, which means you're hating a movie bringing awareness about child trafficking based on your own bias. You'd be surprised how a movie can bring people to change and give money to worthy causes that they know are important but they didn't make a connection with until they see a movie or some other media on it. Personally, I don't really care who makes it as long as it brings awareness and connects more people to making changes to society that will hopefully lower child abductions and trafficking.
For reals. The producers of this movie are working on a JFK Jr zombie flick next. I hope it's just as good!
