Well now that that's over, let's derail this thread in another direction and discuss this Ottomaton hating Serbs stuff? When did this start? I've seen like 2 mentions in one day and don't recall any before.
This really belongs in the D&D, but here goes. Apparently in pippendagimp's mind, Jews are just unreasonable Nazi haters, in the same way that I am an unreasonable Serb hater. The source of his story is the fact that I think the Serbs are responsible for having Kosovo taken away from them by virtue of their inability to share with their fellow South Slavs, illustrated through wars and attempted ethnic clensings on Croats, Albanians, and Bosnians. Apparently, in pippendagimp's mind, it is the Bosniak's fault that all the Bosniak children of Srebrenica look like this: He also took issue with the fact that Radovan Karadžić and Ratko Mladić are considered war criminals, as in his opinion, the Bosniaks were just as bad and those two are being unfairly persecuted.
I'm not going to waste time on you. Anybody who really cares can use the search function and find the old threads themselves. Search term "Srebrenica" should work. But I'm going to guess that most people don't care.
oh right i remember now, that's the same thread wherein you suddenly lost your mild manner and began an out-of-control tirade posting your hate not only towards serbs in general, but directly at some of our friends here on clutchfans who made the mistake of happening to be serb i can see why you wouldn't want to waste time presenting that source now
so i just got back from watching this film and I give it a solid 8/10 its pretty much a typical Tarantino film. a lot of dialogue (good dialogue), some gory action, ennio morricone laced soundtrack and comedy as well. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of his. Brad Pitt's character was just pure gold Also BJ Novak was there afterwards (along with michael fassbender) during the Q&A I was sooo tempted to ask him if Ryan started the fire
Are you sure you don't have him confused with Tom Cruise? My order: Johnny Depp - has some bombs, but really brings something special to most characters Brad Pitt - definitely has some blah roles, but once again has unbelievable characters that draw you in Leonardo DiCaprio - impressed me lately Russell Crowe - somewhat overrated, limited range Will Smith - likeable star Tom Hanks - overrated, moderately likeable star George Clooney - likeable star Nicolas Cage - used to be special, now more of a caricature of his former self A-listers with C-list talent Tom Cruise Keanu Reeves Comedic stars - you like them or hate them Adam Sandler - has some acting chops as well Will Ferrell - unfathomable why he is an A-lister
Best Tarantino movie so far. It really is his masterpiece. I want to see it again. "The Jew Hunter" was amazing. Next iconic villian.
Saw it a little bit ago. It was okay. I mean, I didn't love it, didn't hate it. I know most people are pretty passionate (one way or the other) about QT movies, but I honestly left the theatre neither impressed or appalled. FWIW, I wouldn't consider myself a QT fanboy or someone who hates his stuff. I really do like Pulp Fiction and Res. Dogs. Then again, sometimes I do appreciate his work more upon multiple viewings.
Pitt's character and "The Jew Hunter" are pure gold. The first scene is just amazing. I'll definitely catch this one again soon, probably bootleg style though. I may be forgetting something but after The Hangover and Star Trek this was the highlight of the summer.
This movie delivered. Anytime the Basterds were on screen made this movie hilarious. Brad Pitt was so damn funny. No Mexican Standoffs!!
