[Cinema] Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Interested in the Sparrow origin. Will see.

 

As bad as the sequels were....I'm a sucker for anything related to Pirates / the Caribbean. Will watch.

That's what I thought, but after the third one I dropped out. I can't take it anymore. They are just too bad as much as I love the first movie, and the ride(s).

 

I would like to think the addition of Javier Bardem could pay dividends. It'll certainly get people to show up the first weekend.

Funny how most of the trailers / teasers until now have shown very little of Johnny Depp. Dude has been box office poison for awhile; and the publicity he got for the Amber Heard dissolution proved that, yes, there is such a thing as bad publicity.

Whether or not I see this will depend on if the critics say it's good (and that would mean returning to the spirit of the original) and, well, to tell the truth, if I can force wifey to go. She slept through the last one. I'm at that stage in life where calling up a dude friend and asking, "Hey, man, you wanna go see Pirates of the Caribbean Part XII?", is just not in the cards.
