One of the funniest movies of the year too. I was thinking "what were the Golden Globes smoking" when they put this in the comedy category before I saw it, but I swear we were laughing for most of this movie.

I'm curious to know from Clutchfans which is the better film. Wolf Wall Street or American Hustle. Me personally, I'd go with American Hustle, stronger cast.

It was Goodfellas lite + p*rn. Leo D finally brought it. His Quaalude scene was epic!!!!!

    Praying this is sarcastic...

It has to be right? Who would come into a Scorsese thread when they don't like the man's films just to talk sh**? And insinuating that HUGO > Goodfellas, Casino, The Departed, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York, Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, The King of Comedy? I like Hugo quite a bit, but it doesn't approach most of the other films that 'ole Marty is lauded for.

Yeah... has to be that my sarcasm meter is on the fritz. I'll blame the eggnog.

Props for dropping King of Comedy. That movie is horribly slept on imo.

Thanks... you're absolutely right, it's a criminally underrated movie. Only DeNiro and Scorsese together could make that psychotic character strangely likeable.

I've read somewhere that it's Scorsese's favorite collaboration with DeNiro.

King of Comedy and After Hours are Scorsese's most overlooked masterpieces. At least among the general public. Quintessential dark comedies imho.

But Scorsese's best film imo is Taxi Driver. Don't dispute me!!!

Just came back from this, Jesus Christ what a good movie. Actors were spot on, and nailed everything- the wall street guys, the long island trophy wives, the whores- everybody was spot on. Funny, gripping; everything you want in a movie. Definitely recommend it. Going to check out American Hustle while I'm at it too. I thought I'd like that better, but man- Wolf set the bar real high.

I saw it tonight also. It was good, but there was an easy 30 minutes to be trimmed from the film. Scorsese has to have the cleanest cutting room floor of any good director working today.

You're not familiar with Cowboy_Bebop's work around here, are you? The guy has straight fire and rage coursing through his veins. I'm pretty sure he's the kind of guy who drops a baby bunny off at the SPCA because the fur was soft, but it could have been softer.

JK C_B, I got nothin' but respect for ya!
