He's an okay director, thing is people expect too much out of his movies. 'No doubt he's made some bad movies, but overall he's done okay. Not a fan of his, Sixth Sense is the only movie worth paying money to go see in the theatre, all his other movies are good movie night deals.
I see what you mean. This "twist" stuff is good only ONCE? I will agree... or maybe if we had seen crappy movies from him... and THEN had seen 6th sense... we would all think he's an OK director? I have a neutral opinion on his directing skills. He has some very good and some very bad movies.
I thought Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were great. I liked The Village and I thought Signs was decent. Did not like Lady in the Water at all...total garbage. Havent seen any of the others. But, I will say, that although he gets tons of hate, Im always intrigued to see his movies...just to see if he can make a comeback or to see how crappy he can make a movie.
His 'twists' are mostly dumb, other than Sixth Sense. The Village where it turns out it's just people playing boogey men? Or Signs when the aliens are allergic to water but try to take over a planet made up of 70% water.
He's not directing this movie, its just based on his story. Still, even though I'm kind of curious, I refuse to give this egomaniac any support. He'd have been better if he'd just left his name off the promotion in general.
I hate this guy sooooo much. How he can continually put out movies is beyond me. I gave up after Signs. Sixth Sense is money. He is like the Creed of movie making to me.
can somebody just tell me the story and the ending? spoiler it for those people who actually plan on watching it.
The Aliens in Signs were even dumber then that - it's not just the oceans, what about Dew? Or humidity or fog lol? It ridiculous.
Spoiler people in an elevator, crazy stuff happens, one of them is the devil......probably this guy Spoiler super devil
Good to hear, I am intrigued by the previews and the fact it's part of a trilogy of movies, The Night Chronicles. The third movie has me most excited, it is basically Unbreakable II which was close to his best work.
Avatar did good because people liked Ferngully and Dances with Wolves before it. People don't like recent M. Knight films because it reminded them of the time in their youth when they were dared to eat a dog turd.
