I watched Last Dragon again this past weekend how ironic.. That last song is the jam!!! "You are the last dragon!"

This news is indeed pathetic, but where are my Brisco County Jr fans at? No one but the late great Julius "Lord Bowler" Carey should touch this role... the man just died a few months ago. Have they no respect for the baddest master?

If Bruce Lee was alive, he'd be perfect for the role. Considering he'd be an old asian guy at this time.

sam jackson as sho'nuff is pretty spot-on.
leroy would probably be an up-and-coming blactor.

I don't think Sam Jackson is big enough to play sho nuff and he's too old.

Magic's Dwight Howard has developed more maturity in his 5th season in the NBA

DALLAS - When Dwight Howard boarded the Orlando Magic team plane from Orlando on Tuesday afternoon, General Manager Otis Smith just shook his head . . . and had to stifle a laugh.

Smith is as old school as they come. He demands his players act professionally and adhere to a dress code. Road trips are business trips.

But even Smith had to hand it to his 6-foot-11, 270-pound all-star center, who stepped onto the flight wearing a red kimono and a black wig, and rambling in some weird voice.

Howard was impersonating "Sho'Nuff" from the kung-fu spoof The Last Dragon . Smith was impressed because Howard was going the old-school route, considering the movie came out in 1985. That's the year Dwight was born.

"Yeah, for Dwight to even know about The Last Dragon . . . You got to give him that for creativity," Smith said, still laughing. "Morlon [Wiley, the team's director of player development] looked at Dwight and says to me, 'What's the fine for that?'

"Eventually, it will wear off. I don't know how long this will go on for Dwight. It's all entertainment."

Howard recently has been unveiling this engaging, colorful and, ahem, marketable, side to his personality as his game and fame climb into the superstar stratosphere.

Dare we say it's not a coincidence, given he's now appearing in national commercials.

It's almost deja Shaq.

Like Shaquille O'Neal, Howard is recording some mind-boggling numbers on the floor for the Magic, such as his first career triple-double (30 points, 19 rebounds and a career-high 10 blocks) he posted in a win against Oklahoma City on Wednesday night.

He was a rebound shy of becoming the first player to post that species of triple-double since Hakeem Olajuwon's 32-point, 25-rebound, 10-block game in 1989 (against the Magic). He became the first to record the triple with 10-plus blocks since Marcus Camby (10 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks) did it in 2007.

"He's one of the best players on the planet," Thunder Coach P.J. Carlesimo said of the NBA's rebounding and shot-blocking leader.

Smith says Howard is still maturing, but showing more patience and persistence in the post. Against the Thunder, he even attempted three bank shots, making two. Most feel if Howard ever developed a face-up game -- the confidence to take jump shots -- he'd be unstoppable.

"Taking it or making it opens up other things for him big-time," Smith said.

Smith says more huge statistical lines await Howard if he improves at the line; he missed seven free throws against the Thunder.

And, like Shaq, Howard also is becoming the NBA's giant entertainment center.

Last February, he stole the spotlight during all-star weekend, winning the slam-dunk title while wearing a Superman outfit.

Just last week, he came to practice dressed as Tyrone Biggums, the crack-addict character from comedian Dave Chappelle's show, hamming it up for the media. (Howard says he's finished portraying Biggums. "Not good for children," he said.)

Howard says he knows when to be serious and when to let loose.

"I'm going to have fun, you know?" he said. "I want people to see who I am. I don't want them to just see this mean-looking basketball face."

Howard is even enjoying himself more on the court, flashing his megawatt smile and playfully teasing referees. The fact his five-year $85-million contract kicked in this season might have something to do with his upbeat mood, too.

Often robotic in his past dealings with the media, Howard has been more thoughtful and quick with a quip. There was this exchange Wednesday:

Reporter: "When people say you're this generation's Shaq, what's your reaction?"

Howard: "Work on my free throws."

Associating with the Kobes and LeBrons during all-star weekends and Olympics perhaps has made Howard understand the blessings and burdens of celebrity, and the role he must play.

"Dwight's trying to grow into it," Smith said. "He doesn't know everything yet. He's watched enough of the great guys, so he's learning as he goes -- on the floor and off it."

Some franchise players see themselves as larger than the franchises. Smith says he knows when to rein in his young star's ego. He actually sees Howard's teammates enjoying his costumes and comedic attempts. "They like it. It brings him down from that stratosphere," he said. "When he's being silly, they say, "It's just Dwight.'"

one of my favorite movies of all time. as far as remakes go, as much as i love that movie, that doesn't surprise me or bother me that much.

remaking the karate kid is a travesty. Why not just make it Karate Kid 5? if they put that little **** in a Shower Halloween costume i'll lose my mind.

monopoly intrigues me. would take some real creative minds at work there.

can't wait till the 2015 release of Connect Four.
