Just watched Social Network, definitely one of the best this year. I'd put it right behind Inception. Whoa now! I loved Inception but 4th best of all-time? Wow. I didn't know it was THAT well liked.
Saw it yesterday, excellent film, well done all around, wouldn't be surprised to see Oscar nods for Fincher, Garfield and Eisenberg.
Really? Based on my posts in this thread: ..you interpret that to mean I don't give a **** about any aspect of the movie except for the music? And yes, I enjoy music. Quite a bit. Whether it be playing in a movie, a tv show, or your sister's boombox. If you don't, then that's your issue and may God have mercy on your soul.
It was a solid/entertaining movie but movie of the year? Eh that seems to me as more hype for it being a David Fincher flick. No way was it anywhere close to Inception, IMO of course.
Saw it last night. Was a good flick. I don't see it as this generation's Citizen Kane like one reviewer did but it was very good. It also didn't feel like a 2 hour movie at all, which is a good thing.
Haven't seen this one yet, I want to, but as soon as I saw the Trailer, I thought that it would be the type of movie nominated for best picture.
I will be seeing this tonight, so far my top favorite movies of 2010 are: 1. Inception 2. Kick-Ass 3. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World 4. I Spit On Your Grave Remake 5. Cold Fish 6. The Town 7. Love In A Puff 8. Monga
When I saw it, there was a trailer for True Grit before it. A brand new one, not the teaser trailer released a few days ago. It used "God's Gonna Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash. anyone know where I can find that trailer? I can only find the theatrical trailer on youtube. It looked amazing by the way
Good movie but I wouldn't rate it as one of my favorites of 2010 and I still prefer this movie as the best rags to riches story ever.. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lEyrivrjAuU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lEyrivrjAuU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> The movie portrayed Mark Zuckerberg as a complete A-hole, what a jerk this guy is...
Good movie, and it did live up to the reviews it got. I would personally go - 1. Inception 2. Social Network distant 3rd. The Town I think the Academy will give the Oscar for best picture to Social Network over Inception however.
Yeah, extremely late on this. Finally saw it yesterday. Everything was pretty much perfect about the movie. I think the actor who played Eduardo is most deserving of an Oscar, but he'll probably be overshadowed by Timberlake and Zuckerberg. His was the best performance of the year so far IMHO. I even think the dude who played the twins isn't getting enough attention. The dialogue was so fresh and biting. The whole first sequence (conversation) of the movie was genius, especially when taken together with how it ended. Loved her dialogue on the parting shot which pretty much set the stage for everything that followed: Spoiler "You are probably going to be a very successful computer person. But you're going to go through life thinking that girls don't like you because you're a nerd. And I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that that won't be true. It'll be because you're an *******." 10/10...competes with Inception for best move of the year. The cinematography was incredible. I especially liked the row scene which looks like it was just thrown into the movie so Fincher could experiment a little with new filming techniques.
I doubt it will be mentioned because of it's limited release, and because it's a British film. oh well, I'm glad I saw it before the social network, andrew garfield was becoming one of my favorite actors.....and then spiderman. eh. whatev. good for him.
Thought it was pretty good. Right now, this is how I'd rank my movies of the year. JT was great (surprisingly) and I just loved how the movie was constructed. Spoiler Flashback mode was perfect for this movie 1. Inception 2. Social Network 3. The Town 4. Toy Story 3
saw this a few days ago. met expectations. but expectations were not anywhere near movie of the year. it was good, and entertaining, but it's not even close to anything worth movie of the year. Aaron Sorkin's book was much better. based on my opinion of the movie, it will probably win sht loads of awards.
I'm not too sure, it sounds familiar though. I guess maybe it was more of his character than his acting.
