I didn't think it would suck, and I thought it was better than Inception. Also, Trent Reznor did an amazing job with the score. Music was great.
Thought it would be a good movie when I saw that it was collaboration between Fincher and Sorkin. Thought it was movie of the year so far, much better than Inception after I saw it. It surpassed my expectations.
I'm just getting out the theater. No way it's as good as Inception. I found the town more entertaining but the movie is great nonetheless. Loved the Baylor reference.
Just got back, loved it. I dont know where I'd put it on the top of my year. Probably ahead of Inception but behind Toy Story 3
Can you kindly shoot yourself in the face? Have one of your relatives post a thread here to see how you did. TIA
I don't get what the big deal is with The Town. Everyone but Affleck's character was completely 1-dimensional and the storyline was ludicrous. The action scenes were decent and the movie as a whole was just alright..
when i didnt know what it was, i knew i hated it. but now that i still havent seen it, i decided i love it. best movie of 2010.
I have noticed something interesting. It seems like you are always more interested in the "score" than the actual movie.. Why is that? who gives a $h!t who's doing the "score" for a movie? I listen music to listen to music, and I go to movies to watch movies.
Good movie, but no way was it better than Inception, Toy story 3, or even The Town. I think it was way over hyped
Yeah ****ing music... doesn't mean anything to a film! Also why have words? Words are for BOOKS. I read books to read books and I go to movies to watch movies.
And I don't wanna talk to a composer or artist. Y'all mother****ers just puttin' music in my movies, and getting me pissed.
Thats the thing mentioned in responses that I'm trying to gauge, the score. Right, I don't want to go to the movies to suspiciously rock out to Trent Reznor set to moving images. Trying to see if likability is spiked because of the soundtrack and elements surrounding the movie, like The Crow (coincidentally involving Trent Reznor). No one thought the The Crow was a stellar movie, but its appeal was boosted from being ho-hum to being a cult favorite cuz the soundtrack and imagery related to people's sensitivities at the time. Though a soundtrack shouldnt turn a movie from being merely good into being a masterpiece above Lawrence of Arabia, going by the reviews. So maybe there's something more to this movie.
It was very entertaining and it never got too cute for its own good. But it was not phenomenal, and it was not better than Inception.
Inception was entertaining but had this pretentious, contrived air about it. The Town had absolutely no depth to it and had a nonsensical story. Both were just decent movies.
