I didn't get a chance to catch it tonight. How does it compare to the town? I have inception as 1 and the town at 2 so far this year..
Man, the movie did not disappoint. Although, some teeny boppers kids next to me were bored out of their minds and left half-way through the movie. To me, the movie was really inspirational and I thought the casting was spot on.
I'm am having a pretty hard time with organizing The Social Network, The Town, Toy Story 3 and Kick Ass.
Awesome movie! Wow... These types of movies that happen so close to the actual events they're based on usually miss the mark. That was no the case with this one.
1. Inception 2. The Social Network 3. The Town Everything else for 2010 is a distant 4th or lower. I was not that impressed with Toy Story 3.
I'm seeing the social network later today, but right now my list is 1. Toy Story 3 2. Inception 3. The Town 4. How To Train Your Dragon 5. Scott Pilgrim vs the World or Shutter Island (hard to decide) Its hard for me to believe The Social Network will be better than TS3, but I could see it being better than Inception.
Inception was way tooo baaawwww. Never Let Me Go is the best film Ive seen this year. Four Lions was awesome too. Nothing Personal was brilliant. That would probably be my top 3. I havent seen The Social Network, and it does look good, but it cant possibly be top 3 of the year material. Not for me.
Yesterday I did a double feature of The Social Network and then The Town. Social Network surpassed my expectations and should be in the top 2 of the year so far. I couldn't buy into The Town's storyline, it seemed unrealistic/ridiculous and it really took me out of the movie. It sort of felt like a TV show on HBO or something. Overall it was just decent, mainly due to the second half. And I know Affleck is a solid director based off of "Gone Baby Gone", but it seemed so amateurish compared to what Fincher did. Understandable since Finchers been in the directing game alot longer but I can't see how The Town should be ranked above The Social Network.
Just got back from watching the movie and loved it. Easily my favorite movie of the year. For me this year it's been: 1. Social Network 2. Toy Story 3 I watched inception and didn't like it and that's why it's not ranked on my tiny list.
