nevertheless certainly worth watching to find out how you defend yourself against a man with two dildos
I don't think much of Borat was staged, but some of the stuff in this trailer looked a little more staged like the talk show
Nothing like a cynic to start off the day. Of course some of the scenes in Borat were "staged"---Pam Anderson, the village scenes, the older Jewish couple with their bed and breakfast; but it's a movie, not a documentary, and so what, anyway? Would we have ever been able to laugh ourselves unconscious watching Borat and his traveling companion fight it out in the hotel room otherwise? Nobody claimed it was 100% unstaged, but they don't say otherwise so you can enjoy the movie more. Singing the "Kazakhstan National Anthem" in front of all those rednecks, going to that revival, going to the antique store, going to that driving instructor, visiting those drunk frat boys in their RV, visiting those Washington pundits, visiting that "knock knock" guy, going to Secession Avenue and meeting with those uptight Southerners at their dinner table....None of that was staged.
Sasha Baron Cohen is a genius. Some of his original stuff from UK television is even funnier. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kOZlJiOvXsU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kOZlJiOvXsU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> DD
The word on Bruno is that it is both hilarious and also less 'improvised' than Borat. The problem was exactly that - too many people are aware of his tricks now, and a lot more of Bruno had to be staged than was in Borat, and it still remains to be seen exactly how much of Borat was staged. That said, be prepared to lots and lots of KAK and sucking of said kaks, from what I have read.

He has a MeinSpace page, but be careful clicking the link. It has thumping club music so make sure your sound is low or off. http://www.meinspace.com/bruno
Here are a few of the sketches that arent staged. On the Wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BrĂ¼no_(film)
I'm just not seeing it... I guess it just isn't my kind of humor. Borat was funnier than I thought it would be.
