Tend to agree, he's kind of like Tom Cruise, always playing the a version of himself...... I haven't seen Concussion either, so can't speak to his work there....
It looks Leo has 90% chance of winning based on the odds: http://www.oddschecker.com/awards/oscars/best-actor Based on some of these odds the bettors must have some inside information.
As he should. From the candidates available, I'd say Redmayne is the only other performance that was truly worthy. I still think Fassbender, Cranston and Damon all did a great job, but I don't think any of them were better than Leo or Redmayne.
I understand what you are saying, but I don't think people deserve to be laughed at for thinking Smith is deserving of an acting award. Smith as been nominated for an Acedemy award in the past for his role in the movie Ali. Did you see that movie?
If we are talking best actors of last 20 years it would be hard for me to not include Leo. 1. Daniel Day Lewis 2. Sean Penn 3. Benicio Del Toro 4. Leonardo DiCaprio 5. Johnny Depp
Leo may win, but Redmayne apparently did a great job and he did it in the type of role that Hollywood loves to reward.
Me too. I did. Absolutely, too hard in fact. Southpaw and Sicario were THE BIGGEST snubs. Anybody upset at Creed not getting more nominations, especially Mike B Jordan (HA!), you might need some extra strength cream for that butt hurt. That, some glasses or a better opinion of good acting.

Saw Brooklyn. Maybe it's just me being a sucker for sweet movies but damn if I don't think it's one of the best films of the year.
Still need to see Room, Brooklyn, and The Big Short Of the ones I've seen, I'd rank them 1) Spotlight 2) Mad Max 3) Bridge of Spies 4) The Revenant 5) The Martian Pretty disappointed by this crop overall, lots of better movies were out there than these

I've only watched The Martian, The Big Short and Mad Max. I haven't really followed the Oscars, but I find it fascinating someone can be nominated or win an Oscar because of one line of really good dialog.( ie: Lupita, Sly Stalone) I'm boycotting the Oscars by watching an illegal stream.
