First one was mindless fun, FX were really impressive at the time. This looks good like more of the same, I'll check it out.
I get a chuckle out of the depiction of the Spartans as the upholders of freedom when the actual Spartans had no problems with keeping slaves and not too long after the Persian wars conquered and enslaved the Athenians.
so now they can land on their feet from an 80 ft jump with not even a sprained ankle? :stephon curry and yao faint:
This movie gonna be lame. The Leonidas replacement is beta as f,u,ck. Xerxes gets all the camera and too much boat action.
Today, no Spartan dies! We do what we were trained to do. What we were bred to do. What we were born to do. No prisoners. No mercy.
Not going to see the movie. Not going to even watch the trailer. I'm sure some bros will ask me to go with them to see it after a night of UFC watching and Natural Light drinking, but I'll probably pass on that whole package.

I chuckle when people get their panties in a knot complaining that a movie based on an ambitious comic book, based loosely on a historical event is not a 100% historically accurate narrative.
I enjoyed this movie, it was predictable, but the battle scenes were good. Eva Green also was the main attraction
This movie was horrible compared to the first one. -Themistokles had puny muscles compared to Leonidas -CGI was really bad... especially the scene at beginning with all the spartans wrestling each other for training -Lena Hadley's mole grew a heck of a lot bigger -WTF moment when she led the Spartans into the battle at the end in a full on queen gown -Never got the epic feeling that the first 300 had to it -Choreography for fight scenes wasn't as good as first (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsKZl1QMXss#t=40) -Boring sea battles... except for the last one Only positives were Eva Green scenes and the backstory into Xerxes
