Trump should be careful about being so tactless with the intelligence community. People who live in glass houses and all that.

All he has to do is piss off the wrong group, sort of like the rogue FBI agents who were leaking stuff to Giuliani, only I think the CIA and friends have a much larger playbook of dirty tricks to choose from.

Disregarding Assange's moral and ethical behavior, are Assange's comments any less trustworthy or qualifying than they were in November 2010?

He did a big data dump of personal private info about 6 months ago that violated his own stated code of ethics for Wikileaks. There were a number of stories at the time that I read that I would characterise as describing a personal "downward spiral" describing him as embittered from his extended stay locked away in the embasy. Whether that is real or just journalists connecting dots that don't connect, you'll have to decide for your self.

If you want to be super paranoid, I'm sure some people will write it off as a campaign where Hillary Clinton ordered the MSM to smear him or something.

If they are going to try and stage another assassination it will be much harder. Trump is two steps ahead in the game, .

Similar to how the media is in a frenzy because Trump uses twitter and facebook as a direct link to citizens, making their job that much more difficult to control the narrative.

The CIA is in a frenzy because Trump has his own personal hired security team to share space with, making their job that much more difficult to control the environment/cover up in any kind of JFK'esque attempt.

I wonder if they've shown him their video of the JFK assassination yet? We'll know he's seen it once he quiets down.

They wouldn't have to kill him. Just "Watergate/Teapot Dome" him with something so sleazy and corrupt (either real or made up) that he becomes radioactive.

You really think something like that would stick to Trump? I'm not sure it would. None of the crazy things Trump said during the campaign stuck to him and the Democrats are doing their best to paint him as a Russian operative or next coming of Hitler and so far none of that has stuck. In fact, I think the more people try, the less it's going to work.

Hasn't Trump already been through this? It's like he's teflon, like he could stand on Fifth Avenue in broad daylight and shoot someone and no one would care.

I know he said that during his campaign, but that was just election bravado. You aren't supposed to take that kind of stuff seriously. But I am perfectly happy to let him put it to the test if he'd like to give it a go.

IF you really believe he's made of Teflon, just get photographic "evidence" of Rex Tillerson at a NAMBLA conference sodomizing little boys, and evidence of 2 or 3 of his cabinet members taking bribes or doing other shady stuff.

That's what killed Warren G Harding. He was a likable "good guy" - perhaps a nicer era's version of Teflon Trump - but the corrupt scumbags he surrounded himself with dragged his name through the mud, swinging him from one of the most liked ever at the start of his term, to one of the least liked politicians ever.

Assange had released one document by The title of " the promised land of organized crimes", then he backed off by saying he doesn't want to upset his "big clients "

Sarah Palin had her emails hacked and leaked during 2008.

    Nobody cared then.
    Nobody cried sexism then.
    Nobody blamed Russia then.

    So why now?

If at this point after the released analysis you don't know, then there's nothing anybody on this website can do to help you.

What's funny is that the leaked DNC emails have the same exact amount of proof they changed the result of the primaries as there is proof that the general election result was changed. Why is it that you and others believe only one of those results was changed?

I've slowly come to the realization that most people either dont t have the ability or just plainr don't want to put in the time to evaluate this stuff on their own, and so they listen to what their favorite talking head has to say b on the subject.

I know I never read the DNC emails my self. I didn't have time and I never ran into anybody making the case you are now making. I've just assumed that what I have heard is true. I imagine if I rejected the "mainstream media" and only read Breitbart and listened to Sean Hannity I'd have an understanding filtered through a very different lens.

Im not even upset wiith people for doing it. There are very few people outside of those who do it for a living who can review every primary source on every major news story. A very large chunk of media is set up specifically to cater to only one narrow viewpoint these days. You almost can't help it if you latch on to something that feeds you the truth exactly as you want to consume it. There is a proven effective where people are much more likely to believe something that meshes with their preexisting world view.

Reading this forum it often seems that the conservative side is reading from the same script which bears no resemblance to events as I've consumed them. Maybe, in effect, they kind of are without realizing it. I'm sure they see liberals repeating points that seem like they were arranged in advance and don't jive with how they've arranged the narrative in their heads.

Would ignore except people actually start using this. Did this just come out of some right wing posting? Lol.

Funny how no one care when the government went after the hacker, prosecuted him and sentenced him.

Of course no one questioned.the government for doing their job.

Why then does the government not do this again? Obama was given a briefing over Russia's geopolitical threat level by Mitt Romney on live national television.

It's been four years. We're waiting.
