CIA: Russia manipulated the election to install Trump

I still love the notion that Russia "manipulated the election" by having their hackers expose the fact that the DNC manipulated their primary election and was colluding with the media to manipulate the presidential election. Given what we know, the finger pointing is hilarious.

I guess Russia is our new internal affairs for the entire United States. They are the paragon of justice so I see no reason why they would have a desire to have a president with the nuance of a 15 year old redditor. I can't see why they would want that. It just doesn't make sense

The full extent of the report is currently classified, according to the raging liberal and sometime Maverick, John McCain. But he, Lindsey and two Dem's, don't recall their names, are investigating the CIA's claim. Im going based on deduction that the CIA isn't fabricating, if I'm wrong then so is everyone else. Again, unless there is a radical revelation of tampering within this report, I standby the assertion that this changes nothing with respect to the election outcome but it will be pertinent to national security and the status of our electoral process.

 

Would you also agree that what the hack uncovered, that the DNC was manipulating the primary and colluding with the media to manipulate the national election will be just as "pertinent to the status of our electoral process"?

At this point, we really do not know anything. Reminder: these were the same people who claimed the case against Iraq was a "slam dunk". Well, sometimes, despite being the highest percentage shot on the court, slam dunks don't go in.

Even Obama's Ambassador to Russia says he agrees with Trump and that Obama needs to take this hack seriously. Also, Clinton's CIA director has some doubts about the claims being made.

We don't know much more than that, and it really does not reveal any evidence that Russia was responsible. Though I have no reason to dismiss the CIA rumors, I do have some reason to be suspicious.

It's staggering the depths to which some of you will look the other way when it comes to Trump's Russia connection and let's not forget he STILL hasn't released his taxes. What bombshells lurk in those taxes? Ho boy. When Russia starts leaking RNC emails about Trump then we'll see how desperate and pathetic that looks. China will probably get in on that game soon since Trump has dangled Taiwan as a bargaining chip.

This demonizing of anything not left wing is really terrible.

Obama was a complete failure and was like gravity to a struggling economy pushing it down. Americans were sick of the pet

Instead they wanted good jobs and less government.

No, we do know that Russia was responsible. And the CIA weren't the ones misleading on Iraq, that was the politicians, one of whom (Bolton)is being touted and considered for a cabinet position by Trump.

We get it, you don't mind foreign nations with authoritarian leaders trying to undermine American democracy. You've made it plain. Even some of us liberals still put America first.

 

And just so we're clear, the way they undermined American democracy in your mind is by exposing the fact that the DNC manipulated to the point of damn near rigging their primary election and how they were colluding with the media in an effort to manipulate the presidential election....

 

Again that's not all they did. But you can pretend that if you'd like. And for the record I was critical of the DNC based on the leaked emails.

 

That's all they did of substance....and even that didn't affect the outcome of the election. This is faux outrage that stems from butt hurt over the election results, hopefully this kind of thing dies down fairly soon because it might as well be the new "birthers"

Law enforcement officials say that none of the investigations so far have found any conclusive or direct link between Mr. Trump and the Russian government.

It absolutely needs to be taken seriously. The way to do that is for our current president to begin taking Russia seriously. Get a congressional committee rolling on this. We've already had to deal with fake news. The last thing we need is to have this country split along a division of unsupported conspiracy theories.

 

There is not any new information that we didnt already have for the past months in regards to Russia. The CIA is just now coming out now to make the claim.

Have you even bothered to read any of the Podesta emails to make the baseless claim that Russia is trying to undermine our democracy? Putting the truth out and letting John Q Public make an informed decision based on information they are privy to is not undermining democracy.

Undermining democracy (which all you and your leftist friends keep ignoring) is politicians colluding with the media to sway public opinion. I never been one saying Hillary should goto jail over her private server incident, but for me, colluding with the media deserves jail time. Its a very dangerous precedent to set. This has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats, but the government working against the people through free press.
