So does that work the other way around? If you're doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear from NSA wiretapping? Or is it just government, because government is EVIIILLLLLL. Of course I do - the two philosophers who have most heavily influenced me are Hobbes and Marx, the former preached the brutality of man, while the latter talked of a final, apocalyptic war, created by man essentially destroying all values and norms in the name of profit. If man was inherently uninterested in conflict, then we would have never left the state of nature. Humans may not desire war persay - but we do desire, and desire inevitably leads to conflict. And it's better that way - for a world without conflict is one without desire, and thus a world without humans.
except information that compromises national security and the lives of soldiers.......... America does have enemies.
I do feel Snowden (as of right now) doesn't belong lumped with the other two. (which basically did data dumps of classified information) I also agree America does have enemies.. but how many enemies created due to our policies? There's only so many times one can say that babies/innocents being droned is just collateral damage before someone takes it personally. This type of hatred doesn't stop with a change in administration.. it could go on for generations. as far as Cheney saying that surveillance could have stopped 9/11.. what a crock of shi t. They could even stop Ft. Hood where the guy called Alawaki how many times? They also didn't stop the Boston bombers. (which they've been already tracking for years and had warning from Russa) This assumption is made under the premise that the U.S. weren't involved in 9/11 in the first place.
Apparently those 'enemies' are the american people. Nice Orwellian corner we have turned there. Lovely. Why do you hate murica?
