I think this is more likely.... Theirs no way the rockets want chuck Hayes over all the bigs we currently have on the roster.

Him and Dorsey are redundant. Makes no sense.

In his early Rockets days, I was kinda grumbling about Chuck's shortcomings (woe-is-me body language and such) at a Rockets game and getting some askance looks from obvious fans of the guy.

Within a season or so I'd also become a fan. His defense and his passing had greatly improved.

I'll take him over, say, Boozer. If we have the roster spot.

Trade must be pending. Chuck to replace T Jones and/or Dorsey.

While I may be a Chuckie fan, he has no place in the Rockets rotation and certainly Morey will not waste a precious spot on the roster for him. On this Rockets team, second seed in the West, prime time Chuckie would not even sniff a position on the roster.

This is just Les Alexander allowing Morey to use all 20 roster spots and willing to pay vet min (even if waived). Wouldn't be surprised if Chuck joined the coaching staff if he doesn't make the roster.

For what? Rather see Harrell get those minutes.

Jones must have fallen off your grace a lot, an 18th first rounder versus an undrafted guy who is lot older

He'd compete for the #3 Center spot w/ Dorsey & Wood

Good job by Maury to target FA bigs that'll raise our average FT%.

Are you kidding me? We could definitely use him against guys like Blake Griffin. He's still a very good low post defender.

LMFBO and what do you do if say a Marc West type of big starts bullying Capela, DMO and Jones when Howard may not be in uniform off the second half of a back to back? Would you rather throw Dorsey or Hayes out on the court?
