Yeah, someone needs to teach Chuckie you shoot free throws with your legs, not your arms.

I think Hayes is going to get even better. He's bound to put on about another 5-10 pounds of muscle this summer. Plus, he's going to start getting the benefit of not as many foul calls as he gets a reputation as a very good defensive specialist. Then he will be able to stay on the floor longer. I expect him to be a 30 mpg player next season and average double digit boards. And he will get even more crafty with his inside shots. His shots are all based on quickness, getting the shot up before the defender has a chance to react. He can still get more efficient with those and then you have a 10 point 10 rebound player that is a very good post defender and has the speed and quickness to chase around the floor.

Lately it seems Chuck has finally learned that when T-Mac starts to drive toward the basket, he (Chuck) needs to move in the direction vacated when his man moves over to double Tracy. And Tracy's so smart and so alert to what's going on around him that he often rewards Chuck with a pass for an easy bucket. The sweetest thing about it is the look on the other team's players -- they're going, "WTF?!?" as if nobody every expected a pass to go in Hayes' direction.

Is Hayes the same height as Barkley? Or how many inches does have over him?

He's listed by most as 6'5" or 6'6" but everybody has always said he's more like 6'4". These mugshots certainly do nothing to clarify as he's an inch taller than one of them.

I don't think there is any coincidence that his performances have picked up since Yao is back.

It's nice to have two players in Chuck Hayes and Shane Battier to be able to run around and hustle on the floor to help augment Yao's and Tmac's games.

The forward combo of Battier and Hayes, the all lunchpale duo! I mean these guys take charges, throw their bodies around. Great stuff!

The key for Hayes was mentioned already. The more he plays and gets a reputation with the refs, the less fouls will be called on him and thus he will stay on the floor longer. And if he can play longer, he probably could get close to 10rpg on this team. He could be a 8pt-10rpg type player. Would be very solid.

Hayes is a FA this summer. We have his early bird rights. What do you think he is worth looking at the landscape of the NBA? 3yr 7.5M?

If he wants minutes, he'll stick with the Rockets. In the league he's foul prone and severely under-sized. A guaranteed 3yr contract for the minimum should be enough.

I don't think there are any teams left that would want him and has a dominant center there for him to be effective.

If he could hit a 15 foot jumper he would be even better.

Hayes is feeding off the double teams of Yao. Teams are choosing to make Hayes the option and figuring that the way to beat the Rockets is to take Yao out and let Hayes get a few easy buckets.

Be careful here - Hayes doesn't do well without Yao. I love his hustle, but that doesn't mean he's Otis Thorpe.

Durvasa, we need a PF that just doesn't play off Yao and can handle more than 20 mpg over a course of time because of fouling.

There is nothinh wrong with Chuck Hayes other than him being a STARTER.

He's a very good backup PF, but the team needs a better starter.

You are in love with this guy seriously.

Despite nice numbers, Hayes is still a liability in many ways... bad FT%, no range, undersized on defense, etc. But He certainly makes is a less of a priority that we get a PF with our MLE this offseason. This team could use an upgrade at both PG and PF positions. And right now, I'm feeling upgrading the PG is the top priority right now. Head simply can't play the position, and Rafer needs a backup when he's having a bad night, which is half the time.

Apparently you have never been arrested.

The side view is you standing with your shoulder against the wall, meaning you are not standinf fully upright.

The front view is with you standing with your back up against the wall. meaning you are standing fully upright.

In my mug shot I am one inch taller when I am standing with my back against the wall.

Also in the one where I am standing with my back against the wall, I am at the 6-4 mark.

They listed me at 6-2 inches tall, which is coincidentally my barefoot height.

So they took one inch off for shoes (I was wearing normal shows) and 1 inch off for hair.

Barkley does not have hair in the image so you wouldn't deduct for that.

So assuming that he had normal shoes on you take the front image of 6-8 and deduct and inch and you get 6-7 barefoot.

Or if he had boots on (possibly certainly) then you deduct 2 inches and get 6-6 barefoot.

Remember players can choose to be listed barefoot, it is just a myth that all heights are with shoes.

So the very likely deduction is that Barkley is 6-6 barefoot, was listed by barefoot height, and was wearing boots the day he was arrested, making him 6-8 in the picture.

    It is not rocket science.

Chuck Hayes is 6-5 1/2 barefoot according to his draft measurment. Also he has a 6-10 wingspan according to his draft measurment.

Barkley was said to have a 7-0 wingspan.

So then Hayes would be about half an inch shorter and would have a 2 inch less wingspan. So he's about the same size, but a bit smaller.
