I saw y'all out there and was going to come over and introduce myself, but my wife put her foot down and said I was being a dork, so I contented myself with joining in on the chants as we were leaving.

    :D

I thought it was loud, but I've heard it much louder at TC games in the past - particularly playoff games. The Red Rowdy section (north side) was definitely louder than ever before, though. I almost think it would have been cooler if those free tickets were split between the North Side and South Side sections - then there could have been competition between each group of Rowdies.

Random comment: The T-Mobile thing was freaking STUPID!

I was also sitting in section 415, and it was an awesome atmosphere. Kinda sad how many corporate prudes there are that go to these games (Astros games are the worst. Guys in business suits near the front row on a cell phone the whole time and leave around the 6th inning). Anyone in the Tundra parking garage here the guys still yelling "AMINA!!!" when we were all driving out? LOL. Great atmosphere last night.

Yao should buy a Red Rowdies section on the south side. Considering how much they helped in this game, and how it can really contribute to a home court advantage, I think he'll be willing if asked.

watched it on tv, and the crowd was great.
With this energy, we should easily win 30+ at home this year

Beginning of the game, people in the back of sec 114 were throwing tantrums about the standing. They gave people like me endless crap, then threw tantrums to the ushers. The ushers explained to them about the Rowdy section, and JVG, and that they were doing what they were supposed to. The tantrum throwers demanded to see supervisors, and this continued until midway into the second quarter when someone in the facility told relations to ask everyone to sit due to the volume of complaints.

This was not a situation where the ushers didn't know any better. They did what they could until they were told by their supervisors to give in to the prissy tennis gallery crowd.

Again, they'll have to kick me out if they want me to sit. If they want TC to stop being Jones Theater, the sitters either need to start joining in or leave the section.

he has some lady walk with him with this huge box and then was giving/throwing them to whomever wanted

That sounds great and once again I wish I was in Houston.

I will have to be a lonely Red Rowdy when the Rox come to the Target Center.

10 games (I'll probably add more as the season goes along), including the Nix on Friday. I'll be waiting, with some gifts for the section.
