He gives her his number, then contacts her 3 days later? Either she gave him her digits at the same time, or she gave him a ring inbetween....

also, how it said that the meeting was on 4/20.....this story is getting fishier and fisher (if thats a word!)

Nowhere in there does it say that Hayes knew she was married, just that she had kids with her. For all we know she was coming off as a single mother.

Not trying to get in an argument with you in any way, I'm just trying to get facts straight to see where there might be holes in the accusations. Again, I don't think that quote from the article guarantees he knew she was married.

    Even earlier in the article:
'On Dec. 22, the woman said, she was trying to orchestrate a special night for her husband and son when the three of them met several UK players in the Rupp Arena locker room after UK's game against William and Mary.'

    That's more like it. Thanks.

I have definitely lost a lot of respect for Hayes.

"he offered her a brownie and a bitter-tasting milkshake in a UKshot glass."

This is the part I thought was weird..... who drinks a milkshake out of a shot glass?

This is a really weird story. First, he gives her his number but he ends up calling her. Second, who goes to someone's room, eats a brownie (on 4/20), drinks a milkshake (from a shotglass), and not know what is going on?

Hopefully, the police will solve everything out.

    UK Wildcat fan here.....

Torraye is bigger, taller and stronger.

If you want to picture Chuck Hayes' statue and game look no future that Corllis "Big Nasty" Williamson [sp]. Chuck will be a role player in the NBA in the mold of Corllis. He does not have a true position (no thanks to his 6-5....6-6ish size with PF strength). He did not shoot consistently well from the peri in college and he is not an athletic freak. That said, I see he having a fairly descent NBA or Euro league career assuming he "wins" this case.

As for the case proper, I find myself believing a little of the victim's allegations. Then again like some else mentioned, Chuck is a model citizen (at least from the much we have heard about him so far) and seemingly reputable. The one big thing working for Chuck is that he is UK Wildcat for life thru and thru, and the police folks over there all bleed blue. Expect the DA and police not to go out of their way to hurt their beloved son. I see this case ending soonest unless more stronger evidence come in.

This story definetly sounds fishy, and is very different to the Kobe one. In that case she told a friend who was driving her home straight after that she was raped, there was good physical evidence (her blood on Kobe's clothes) & it only didn't, allegedly, go to trial due to her stress & smeer campaign against her (rape vicitims are often understandably fragile). From what was released, I htik he did it. I dont with Hayes, and not because he's on our SUMMER LEAGUE SQUAD (not even the real team or camp).

Who drinks anything from a shot glass apart from spirits? A milkshake - totally unbelievable! If she had said from a normal glass, ok, but to specify a shot glass damages her credability.

What 22 y.o. professional athlete bakes their own brownies... they have groupies to do BS like that for them, or eat McDonalds! I doubt i could've baked anything for myself when i was that age without burning it to a crisp, and I'm "domesicated". As someone who has had mar1juana in food (gotta love Amsterdam!), it copmletely ruins the taste of whatever food you cooked it in. If you didn't know it was in there you would put it down after one bite and make up a polite excuse not to eat it.

To refuse to co-operate with the police is very fishy, and again the reverse of the Kobe incident (she stopped co-operating after they released her personel info). Why would anyone from Hayes camp be "snooping" around her if the case was dead in the water to the police, possibly provoking her...

All in all this just doesn't add up to me. I believe she's going for cash (he doesn't have). If he's guilty, then jail the SOB, but I don't believe he is.

BTW I dont care if he knew she was married w kids or not. It's her call to cheat, not his. I feel bad for her hubby, but he seems to be a party to this BS. How many married women did MJ & Wilt sleep with? Do you respect them less for it too?

I believe the woman...she's a cancer survivor after all. Often times the victim is looked at under a larger microscope then the suspect, which is sad.

nevertheless...Hayes would only be a distraction, with reporters and all during the season.

Good lord. We're talking about a basketball player, not a youth minister. There is no law against sleeping with a married woman. Further, we have absolutely no way of knowing what the situation was. We don't know if he knew about her husband and kids. We know nothing. If he physically harmed her, then by all means, may he rot in jail. But I'm about sick of people pushing their own morality on others. If I wanted to hear people on their moral high horses presumptiously passing judgement on people, I'd go to church.

If she is lying about the rape and if she sleeps with Chuck, the fact that she is willing to sleep with Chuck means that he is not the only one at fault.

Not trying to defend Chuck Hayes in any way, but if you wanna talk about moral issue, how do you feel about having a player who has masturbation with different women in his imagination everyday.

Isn't there a law revolving around "alienation of affection" which is grounds for divorce and a source of personal liability to the lover? Any lawyers care to sound in on this?
