John McClain pointed this out on 610 yesterday when they were talking about Hayes. I guess in yesterday's USA Today, there was a story on this buried in the paper. Hope it isn't true, but if it is, then I don't want to ever see him with a Rockets uniform on.

It's funny how everyone is saying "I don't want to see him in red ever" etc, blah blah blah, yet there is a public outcry for the return of Eddie Griffin here. The man shot his girlfriend, or at least tried to make contact w/her, and missed. That's a fact.

You obviously weren't doing it right.

But in my youth when I did such things, try as I might, you could never mask the distinct flavor of the mar1juana. You could clean a quarter ounce of it of all stems and seeds, grind it down to a fine powder in a coffee grinder, brown it in a small pan with a couple of tablespoons of real butter and then mix it with double fudge brownie mix and bake it....but you could still taste it.

    :D

Probably had sex with him consentually and was just waiting for him to get a contract so she could sue him for emotional damages. I wouldn't be surprised if the husband is in on it for the money.

Everything I've read or heard about Chuck Hayes deviates from the kind of behavior she accuses him of. It's very fishy.

If she's lying about the mar1juana ... then it doesn't take Johnny Cocrane to clear a guy like Chuck Hayes from this mess.

    From the first post:
'The woman said she isn't interested in money and doesn't plan to pursue a civil suit.'

That's what Kobe's girl said at first. They all say that, then sue the hell out of em, or at least try to.

Whatever the case the Rox don't need such a distraction when they're pursuing FA's. It's not good for sponsor relations. Just cut him.

All I have to say about this is that I hope the truth wins out, regardless of what the truth is.

Didn't you see the first thread on Chuck Hayes before this scandal broke? It had 70 posts. I know more about Chuck Hayes than Luther Head even though Head was our 1st round pick and Hayes was undrafted.

Even if she's lying about rape, how do you feel about having a player who knowingly sleeps with a woman who's married and a mother of three?

I didn't read the entire article, but did it say that he knew that about her?

    from the article:
'In April, after the season ended, the woman said she took her son and two of his friends to an autograph-signing at Allsports at Fayette Mall. There, she said, the suspect autographed her program from the Dec. 22 game. Beside his signature, he wrote his phone number, she said. The woman still has the program, which she showed to a reporter.

The woman said the suspect contacted her three days later, saying that he admired her because she was recovering from cancer and that he wanted to do something nice for her son and for other children of cancer patients. They agreed that he would visit her son's school.

Because the woman had a background in marketing, the suspect expressed interest in her advice about a post-season basketball tour, she said. And he wanted to discuss formal ways to help children of cancer patients.

The woman said that's why she went to lunch with the player at Rafferty's on April 19 and then to Wildcat Lodge on April 20 with the full knowledge and consent of her husband.'

Let the police do their job, and if he did this to her, he should rot in jail.
