I hope Chuck is OK. Speaking of heart issues: I remember Eddy Curry's prior Knicks contract could not be insured because of a heart issue, but Curry obviously was allowed to play. What kind of condition did Curry have and is there any chance that Chuck's condition is one that would still allow him to play pro hoops?
Chuck Hayes doesnt have heart problem, Chuck's heart is having a problem with Chuck Hayes himself. It cannot keep up with Chuck.
I sincerely hate to hear this about anyone, but for someone of Chuck's character - one of the really good guys, a decent man and someone who worked his way up to the NBA the hard way, through sheer grit and determination - this is extra hard to hear. I hope and pray that this is something that will not be a career stopper, much less a life shortening diagnosis. Praying for healing!
