Agreed. Chuck has only shot 9 free throws this entire season. There was a stretch in the season from November 1-November 23 where he didn't shoot a single free throw. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4023/gamelog;_ylt=AmqJOT03VC8wrvNfr0eMYYSkvLYF
It's a miracle he's in the league. I love Chuck, and we need him, but how he got a job when he's shooting free throws like that must have taken desperation or divine intervention.
Yes, I am thinking the same thing, it maybe too late to do it, the techique needs to be learned from the beginning.
hayesfan has said chuck has had this hitch since his junior year in kentucky. we all know it's ugly, and you know there was a point last year memphis agreed, they fouled him like 3 times in a row, and he made just about all of them. so if you go to a game, stand up and clap and give him some love, cause he needs it
Hayes FTs hurt the team. Plain and simple. He can't ever play when we have a slim lead down the stretch because the other team can just foul Mr. 22% FT shooting. He is *not* an NBA starter.
............er what he needs is 1. plant on balls of both feet distributing weight evenly. 2. bend knees 3. square shoulders 4. **** wrist 5. in one smooth motion bring ball up rubbing both elbows against side of his body while lifting off both feet. 6. lock left arm at the forehead 7. continue to push off with right vertical to basket. 8. release ball off fingertips with the final touch coming from index finger.
I love how he shoots his free throws.. He doesn't shoot them very often and its so unique you kind of hate to see him change it up... Bill Worrell: "Take a look at chucks free throw, he's going to make everyone get a lane violation including himself."
This statement is just stupid. The only time he ends up with the ball is when he finishes. If they foul him without the ball, they are just letting us choose the free throw shooter.
How can anyone shoot free throws this bad. When I was 12 years old I shot better free throws than him lol.
Lighten up, my friend. Basketball is entertainment. You continue to cry over things like Chuck Hayes' free throws and you'll end up leading a very sad life.
