I like our team as is. James aint help us much with his playing style. His FG% keeps going south and he's a nuthead. Hayes gives us energy and plays with heart. I beleive with a healthy Yao & TMac, we are amongst the best in the league.

Glad that this trade didn't happen. We don't need mike james at all. Chucky might not be a great scorer but he is a great rebounder and gives you 100% when he's out there playing. If Mike who came here, it's hard to imagine how many minutes will luther / rafer / Bonzi play.

james is way better then bonzi as a 3rd option.I woul dhave pulled the trigger on that one.I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have lost that boston game if we had james.

chuck hayes has looked pretty awful since yao's been out, so this trade would have been great for us in the short run. however, im hoping chuck's game depends heavily on having yao there to clear space for him, so once yao gets back maybe chuck will improve his play.

but without yao, i have been really disappointed with chuck. just as foul prone as ever, doesn't seem to have improved his ability to finish around the basket. guy needs to practice his layups because i swear every single time he cuts and gets a wide open layup from tmac, im more confident that he'll miss than make. even his makes look like they're going to bounce back out.

    Missed this one...

I would have been so ticked if we traded Truck. Truck AND Juwon? Who would have played 4?

He must have waved off your mom once because you're the only person who still grouses about this.

The problem as I see it right now, is that we are not getting enough front court scoring. The back court, though they may have an off night now and again, is putting up plenty of points. The only thing that will solve the front court problem is getting Yao back.

Deke is barely a threat to score 10+ per game, and we are lucky to get 20 points per game out of all the PF minutes combined. Getting James would not have solved anything. Contrary to popular belief, it ain't gaurds we need; we need more scoring up front.

Mike James is a no-heart guy who wants ONLY money. I don't like this guy to destroy the current team chemistry.

How about the next game (with Tmac) when James thinks he's D Wade and jacks up 25 shots?

LOL, why do people feel the need to make things up?

James is averaging 9 shots per game this year, and hasn't taken more than 19 shots in any one game.

Contrast this with Alston who averages 13 shots per game, and actually has taken 25 shots in a game this year, and taken over 20 shots on three separate occasions.

    Try again ok?

Please don't challenge these rookies and standard members to actually develop their own opinions. C'mon now, repeating idiotic misconceptions makes you sound informed!

This board has had a huge hard-on for James, but apprarently no where near the hard-on the Rockets have for him.

Anyways Mike James is reallu sucking it up in Minny this year.

Add in the trade kicker, he is making the full MLE plus 8% if he gets traded and he is completely throwing it in the bag in Minny.

Oh, MJ would probably work better for this team than Rafer, but we are too thin at PF to trade Hayes.

Plus, Rafer will be a good backup in a year or two when someone inevitably outplays him and gets his spot

This is all true, but keep in mind Hayes is a scrub.

He's one of these "he hustles JVG guys."

Durvasa got the board into loving him with his stats.

Even though those stats are basically meaningless when the player doesn't really have talent.

    As JVG said,

"Absolutely Ryan Bowen has a unique talent and skill set. His hustle is a skill and it makes him a unique comodity."

Hayes is the best post up defender we have on this team. When Yao gets back, Hayes will look so much better. He is not a scrub. He is a role player, and a very good one.

No way I make this trade. Hayes is a much better role player then Mike James and doesn't demand the ball to be effective. Post defense, taking charges, rebounding and moving without the ball are Chuck's stroing points, Mike James is a shoot first point guard ala Steve Francis and doesn't really bring anything else to the table.

    PASS!
