Don't think so. Leslie Alexander cursed himself when he screwed Charles Barkley out of $3 million.

There is only one way to solve it: Pay Chuck back the money with interest.

It's the necessary sacrifice to appease the basketball gods and restore balance to the universe.

I think the Rockets should sign Chuck, not to play but for him to have access to our doctors and see what can be done to get him back Healthy.

He is gonna have to pay out of his own money... bad timing for this to appear on him, makes you wonder if Rockets knew.

IMO the Rockets should hire Hayes as an assistant coach. That gets him health insurance, keeps him within the Rockets' organization and helps all the Rockets' newbie big men.

I don't know if anyone else remember this: Leon Powe, who played on the Celtics title team, suffered a serious knee injury in the 08/09 season. While still recovering from the injury, the Cavaliers signed him to a 2-year minimum deal with the expectation that he's likely out for the first season but has a chance to play the next year. Basically, they were going to pay him not to play the first year and, in exchange, get the possiblity of a decent player on the team on minimum wage the year after.

I wonder if something similar can be done with Chuck if, like Ronny Turiaf, he needs surgery and is expected to be out for a while, up to all of this season.

Damn, I was really happy for Chuck to move on and get his pay day. I can only think of a few guys that took the road he took to the NBA and still made himself a better player every season. The fans in Houston are with you Chuck.

Rockets should sign him. It's time for payback. He gave us his heart everytime he stepped on the court.Give him the best medical service available that he can live a normal life. The Rockets should provide this and it doesn't matter if he plays again. The Rockets owe him a lot.
