Hope he is OK and if he is I hope this means we can get him. Chuck is the one player on the Rockets I never want to see in another uniform.

And Dennis Rodman was just some scrub role player who could grab a rebound every once in a while, while scrub role player Stacey Augmon couldn't even do that.

The simple truth is that you don't know a damn thing about basketball.

All I care about is his health. if he can come back and we can treat his situation with respect? That is fine by me.

People who do not appreciate Hayes' contribution do not understand basketball. He does nothing that would get him on a Sportscenter highlight, but he passes well, has a very high basketball IQ, very good vision, remarkable footwork and plays outstanding defense, and has improved offensively and from the line every season. There is a good reason Sacramento wanted him beside Cousins. Morey has admitted he is worth +5 in point differential every night. Those who do not see it think blocked shots are worth more than charges, and that passes to the cutter from the high post are worth nothing on the scoreboard.

I get it. Chuck has his strength and Rodman had his.
From all the reports Chuck is not feeling hurt right now, but it is a risk to the team.
Jeff Green was going to come back in a year or so. That's not the end.

Does this mean he is indefinitely sidelined, I don't get it?

For those who rant against Chuck Hayes' game, some of the highest praise of his game has come from his opponents, most of whom are in the best direct positions to assess the effectiveness of his play against them.

His strength and physicality do a lot to wear down the guys he goes against. It's not all about scoring points, but wearing down opponents and denying points and rebounds as well. Over the course of a game, he seems to just plain tire out a lot of opponents, many of whom have a lot higher visibility profiles than Hayes' but whose effectiveness as scorers and rebounders is lowered by Hayes' presence. He's definitely the kind of guy you want on your side.

I think the majority on CL knows very well what we had in him.
Just the average band wagoner that cares more about stats, height or whatever more than wins.

Most people understand he is a decent player. He was not a good enough player to keep over wanting a taller team with around his same skills on defense and or offense. Nor to play major minutes for a nonplayoff team trying to win an extra 5 meaningless games did it make sense.

You forgot to substract the fact that he provided veteran leadership in the locker room, provided fun among peers and youngs, was a great companion, a winner.
But all you were saying was right.
