I have no F*CKIN clue of what you are trying to say. I just don't think JVG should whine continuously to the media, and specifically say the team played without heart.

That surely doesn't sound a grown-up at all.

Stick to the point. No need to do personal attacks, which only expose your own immaturality.

OK, how would you feel if JVG suspended Steve AND did not give a reason and we lost the DAMN GAME? You are already bashing JVG for doing the right thing (suspending Steve), can you imagine the wrath that'll rain down on him if he didn't say why he did it? Give me a break.

I cannot believe you took your side with Steve on this issue!

Jesus, can you just open your mind a little and see what's going on with Rockets?

Do you prefer a one-game win to a long-term rockets growth prospects?

I would suspend Steve too if there is still displine with this team.

Show me one post where I bashed JVG for either suspending Steve or giving a reason why. I had no problem with the suspension or JVG giving a reason, that's not the whining I'm refering to. He's been whining all season.

Fran Blinebury's article has a number of problems with it.

The beef was in the 103 - 89 win that was mentioned just a few seconds earlier. The beef was in Steve leading the team to that win. Also Steve did a lay up and went to the floor, but I wouldn't call that 'mugging.' Fran is just being Fran, and he's not doing a good job of it.

Yao Ming isn't there yet it's true. I wonder what crystal ball Fran was looking through that let him know that in the future Yao will be able to carry the team on his back. I've seen glimpses, but nothing that let's me know that definitely will be the case. For the record I hope it is the case, but it isn't any more a sure thing than is that Francis will lead this team. Personally I think Yao and Steve need each other, or either one needs another top notch player along side him, because neither can do it alone.

The article is basically just hot air.

Re-read my post. Who's side did I take? Sometimes I seriously think people need reading comprehension skills.

You want me to count the number of posters that bashed JVG for just SUSPENDING Steve let alone going to the media? Let's see, ricerocket, F4P...

The bottom line is, we were in a losing streak and needed every bit of help we can get. Then Steve got suspended and we lost the game bad. If I didn't know it was cuz Steve decided to skip the team flight I probably would have thought JVG just suspended Steve cuz he didn't like him. I would have thrown garbage at the TV.

The fact that remains is, some Steve only fans here/JVG haters (yes there are plenty of both) were bashing JVG even when Steve's the one that skipped the flight. If JVG didn't cover his ass, who the hell knows what was gonna happen?

JVG's been whining all season? Last time I checked every coach says "we could have play harder" or "we lost heart." JVG at the start of the season even defended Steve and Cat for their obvious dumb plays.

Rudy, a popular coach, can't turn this team around. JVG a disciplinarian and Rudy's opposite, can't turn this team around. So is it the coaches or is it the team? Right after JVG questioned their heart, Steve pulls a stunt like this.

I'm just going to accept the fact that some here will always hate JVG and worship their hero Steve. There's nothing more to be said.

As I pointed out with the 99-00 Sonics and Kings personnel, making the WC playoffs did not require enormously talented rosters.

99-00 34 win Rockets exclusive of 18 ppg Francis:
    Shandon_Anderson... 32.9 mpg / 12.3 ppg
    Cuttino_Mobley... 30.8 mpg / 15.8 ppg
    Walt_Williams... 24.5 mpg / 10.9 ppg
    Kenny_Thomas... 25.0 mpg / 8.3 ppg
    Kelvin_Cato... 24.3 mpg / 8.7 ppg
    Bryce_Drew... 18.0 mpg / 5.8 ppg
    Carlos_Rogers.... 20.8 mpg / 8.0 ppg
    Hakeem_Olajuwon... 23.8 mpg (44 games) / 10.3 ppg

99-00 50 win TWolves less 24 ppg Garnett:
    Terrell_Brandon... 36.4 mpg / 17.1 ppg
    Malik_Sealy... 29.2 / 11.3 ppg
    Wally_Szczerbiak... 29.7 mpg / 11.6 ppg
    Anthony_Peeler... 25.3 mpg / 9.8 ppg
    Joe_Smith... 25.3 mpg / 9.9 ppg
    Radoslav_Nesterovic ... 21.0 mpg / 5.7 ppg
    Sam_Mitchell... 18.6 mpg / 6.5 ppg
    Bobby_Jackson... 14.2 mpg / 5.1 ppg

Garnett is a true "Franchise"...but a 16 win difference in overall
talent beyond Francis and Garnett? Maybe you see it but I don't. I'll stick with my original premise...they've had enough talent every year Francis has been a Rocket.

I agree with Gater. At least enough talent for the first round. Especially last year.

I believe that SF is a really good player. I don't think that we will not get such a player in any easy way.Yet, SF has not been a great leader for this team. He couldn't show how effective his offense style is. His play wasn't enough for JVG or Rudy T to change their center-oriented offense style.

And now rox have Yao. Though SF isn't a great leader, but he can't be a follower. His character might not allow it.

So, this is the time that rox have to decide where this team will go. Is that Yao or SF? What kind of offense will this team use?

If Rox decide to stay on half-court, low court offense, we have to trade SF for someone who can make games more stable and can pass better. Or Rox have to trade Yao for a faster running big man or someone who can do more hard work than scoring like Divac. (I didn't mean that I want to trade Yao for him.)

But, I don't think that JVG will change his offense style. Well, SF doesn't look like being a follower, too. Then, he might be on a trade list very soon....

You conclude this because Chris Webber and Garnett, two better and more experienced players, made the playoffs? I can't believe you think the '99-'00 Rockets should have made the playoffs. That's just baffling.

Also (not directed at you GATER), how did "4 years, no playoffs" become "5 years, no playoffs" just in the last week? They're both terribly misleading, but one is just plain not even factually correct.
