About time GD. Now what is dorsey's contract supposed to look like? I know they have 3 types of layouts, a one year, three year, and four year. I'm not sure how much they're worth though. And now they are said to be signing Von Wafer (another guard) to the training camp roster.

I completely agree. I believe that Les Alexander was the driving force behind the Steve Francis signing.

Or it shows that they had zero intentions of letting him get away...

    Question...

How much do of the MLE is left over? Can the Rockets use the MLE in the middle of the season, or does it expire?

    I agree.

Morey said "we'll pay market value - we believe that is $1.8mill per for 3 years"
    Buddy said "no wai.."
Morey waited and waited and finally another team said "we think the guy is worth $6mill over 2 years, and possibly another $3mill for a 3rd if things are working out"
Buddy said "I jsut maid yu $600k more by all tha waiting mang!"
Morey instantly matches to say "you know what, we really want you here Carl, and $600k more is no big deal".

My question is: if we don't exercise the option for the 3rd season, what happens? Does he became our RFA again? or is he free as a bird?

He's a free agent I believe and not a rfa. That is how boozer bamboozled the cavs. Boozer was worth well more than the 700K team option and begged the cavs not to exercise the team option. He convinced the cavs he would re-sign with them if they declined the team option and on good faith and to show some loyalty, the cavs agreed. Then he bolted to utah for more money cause I believe the cavs could only offer the full mle at the time, I forget.

Finally all this drama about getting Landry signed can be put to rest. Now the question is about Dorsey and Deke. Dorsey will be signed soon, but Deke on the other hand we don't know.

Weird, I misread that and thought it said he's rfa after the contract expires.

"One other important note to realize about this deal: Should the Rockets decline the option for Landry's third year, he will still be a restricted free agent."

Here is the quote from the article.

Thank God. Carl Landry was downright inspiring at times to watch last year. Can you imagine if he plays like he did last year before the injury? Jumping over everybody to grab rebounds? Slamma-jammas like you ain't never seen.

    Welcome back.

Sweet! Glad to have the Landlord back.

I hate to hijack a thread, but.....does anyone have a podcast of JVG on 1560 this morning? I only caught the first 2 minutes, and it's not on the website yet.
